Invincible Double At Eagle Farm

Sunday, 9 June 2019: Super sire I Am Invincible was prominent on Stradbroke day at Eagle Farm with a pair of classy black type winners.

The Chris Waller-trained mare Invincibella (I Am Invincible x Abscond by Galileo) successfully defended her G2 Dane Ripper Stakes title on Saturday while his exciting 4YO Victorem (I Am Invincible x Playful Miss by Foreplay) recorded a brilliant win in the Listed Hinkler Handicap.

A $185,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase by Star Thoroughbreds, Invincibella  is out of the unraced Galileo mare Abscond who has done a fine job at stud as she has also produced the Listed Galilee Series Final winner Secret Blaze (Sizzling).

Abscond is a half-sister to the G1 placegetter Light Up Manhattan (Manhattan Rain) from the Zabeel mare Luminata, a half-sister to the G1 Adelaide Cup winner The Hind (McGinty) and Listed winner Oregon Star (Oregon).

Abscond’s 4YO daughter Temolie was sold last month for $130,000 to Edinburgh Park at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.

Abscond has an unraced 2YO filly by Sizzling and a weanling colt by Extreme Choice in 2018.

Invincibella has now won 10 races and has earned $2,158,303 prizemoney.

[b]Victorem, trained at Port Macquarie on the NSW north coast by Jenny Graham, was passed in when offered as a weanling.[/b]

He was then offered as a 2YO at Magic Millions Ready To Run sale where he was purchased by Graham for $65,000.

Victorem  is the first foal from the four-time winner Playful Miss (Foreplay) from a family that includes G1 winner Ball Park (Ahonoora) and G2 winner Danabaa (Anabaa).

Playful Miss has an unraced 2YO by Mahisara also in training with Jenny Graham. She has also produced a yearling filly by Denman and a weanling filly by Territories before going back to I Am Invincible in 2018.

[b]•      IMPORTED stayer Sixties Groove became the 13the stakes winner for his sire Sixties Icon with his first Australian black type success in the G2 Brisbane Cup at Eagle Farm on Saturday.[/b]

The Irish-bred 6YO Sixties Groove  (Sixties Icon x Gift Dancer by Imperial Dancer) had been placed in stakes company in his three starts prior to the Brisbane Cup.

Sixties Icon stands at Norman Court Stud in the UK for a fee of £6000.

Sixties Groove is the first foal from the unraced Imperial Dancer mare Gift Dancer, a half-sister to Irish 1000 Guineas winner Samitar (Rock of Gibraltar) and G3 winner Nijoom Dubai (Noverre).

Gift Dancer is also the dam of five time winner Smiling Eliza (Rock of Gibraltar), and has an unraced 3YO colt by Zoffany and a 2YO filly by Footstepsinthesand.

Samitar is the dam of G3 winner Danon Chaser (Deep Impact) while further back the family features G2 winner Shaweel (Dansili), European champion Golden Opinion (Slew O’ Gold) and G1 winner Alice Springs (Galileo).
