Updates on stewards' follow-ups to Friday and Sunday meetings

Friday, 26 April 2019: SINGAPORE APRIL MEETING 2019 - FRIDAY, 19 APRIL 2019:

RACE 1 [TF0480]

On Monday, 22 April 2019, Trainer M Walker advised that ASTRA (R Woodworth) pulled up well, however noted the gelding was up in body weight since its last run eighty-nine days ago, where it won in a weak Class 5 race. He added that the gelding overraced with the addition of Blinker / Pacifiers, and will consider making some amendments to its gear before continuing with its current preparation. 

RACE 3 [TF0482]

 On Monday, 22 April 2019, Trainer S Baertschiger advised that SOLDADO (App A Riduan) pulled up well, and attributed the performance to the gelding having to work hard to take up its usual racing position after being slow to begin. He will continue with its current preparation. 

RACE 4 [TF0483] 

On Monday, 22 April 2019, Mr T Mahadi, Trainer D Hill’s B Trainer, advised that DAYUAN (J Azzopardi) had pulled up well, however will be sent for a short spell. 

RACE 5 [TF0484] 

On Monday, 22 April 2019, Trainer B Marsh advised that UNCLE LUCKY (B Thompson) pulled up well, and will now give the gelding a quiet week before reassessing its current preparation. 

RACE 8 [TF0487] 

A veterinary examination on Saturday, 20 April 2019 revealed that SUN GENERAL (D Moor) had returned lame near (left) fore. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

SUNDAY, 21 APRIL 2019: 

RACE 1 [TF0507] 

On Monday, 22 April 2019, Trainer L Khoo advised that BRING ME JOY (K A’Isisuhairi) pulled up well, and he will monitor the gelding’s form when continuing with its current preparation. 

RACE 3 [TF0509] 

A veterinary examination on Monday, 22 April 2019 revealed that OUR SHOWCASE (App N Zyrul) had returned lame near (left) fore. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again. 

RACE 5 [TF0511] 

On Monday, 22 April 2019, Trainer M Walker advised that SACRED SEA (R Woodworth) pulled up well, and will benefit from yesterday’s run, where the gelding was second up after five-month break from racing.

RACE 6 [TF0512] 

A veterinary examination on Monday, 22 April 2019 revealed that AVENGERS HERO (App S Shafrizal) had returned lame near (left) fore. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again. 

RACE 7 [TF0513] 

On Monday, 22 April 2019, Trainer L Khoo advised that whilst WONDERFUL PAINT (S Noh) had been inspected and cleared by the Veterinarian this morning, he believed that the gelding would benefit from a short spell, before being brought back for a Derby campaign. 

RACE 8 [TF0514] 

A veterinary examination on Monday, 22 April 2019 revealed that NOVA VOCAL (R Woodworth) had returned lame off (right) fore. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again. 

RACE 9 [TF0515] 

A veterinary examination on Monday, 22 April 2019 revealed that MARK ECLIPSE (App I Amirul) had returned lame off (right) fore. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
