“It’s an excellent milestone,” Lees said after Gibbons reached the milestone on one of his team Peyton Place at Tamworth on Monday.
“Andrew has really come on in the last few years, and is riding with great confidence,” Lees said.
“He always rode one or two horses for us and the opportunity to ride more regularly for the stable came when Allan Robinson and Dale Spriggs were nearing the end of their careers.
“Full credit to Andrew. He continues to work hard and has earned the results he is getting.”
It has been a breakout year for 40-year-old Gibbons, who has ridden nearly a third of his career tally for Lees.
His success on Bedivere  at Taree in December was his 300th for Lees while Peyton Place was his 85th winner for the stable this season, eclipsing his previous best of 79 in 2016-17.
Gibbons rode a double for Lees on Monday, scoring in successive races on Peyton Place  and Seveni.
The pair were at extremes for punters, Peyton Place being an odds on favourite while Sevevini was a $14 chance.
