RACE 1

KUBERA’S CHIEF (8) – Somewhat disappointed last start when the starting favourite. Has since had a freshen-up and returns to find a suitable race from the good alley. Expect bold showing.

SOLITAIRE (9) – Won impressively last start over the track/distance in the same grade. Has risen in the ratings but is certainly capable of figuring with a repeat dose of last start. Consider again.

IN BOCCA AL LUPO (4) – Has been knocking on the door in recent times and finds conditions to suit yet again. Well drawn to figure and will appreciate the booking of Olivier Placais. In the mix.

SOUTHERN GLORY (6) – Performed well last time out when finishing a close up fourth. Will find this easier and Glen Boss takes the ride for a forward showing. Consider on best efforts.

RACE 2

MY BIG BOSS (2) – Class runner in this affair. Finished second last time out in the Group 2 Aushorse Golden Horseshoe behind Lim’s Lightning and the form from that race has been franked. Will take beating on best efforts.

ARARAT LADY (10) – On debut in Singapore but was scratched previously when accepting to run. Has won two trials leading into this and gets down in the weights for a forward showing. Major player.

QIJI COMMANDER (9) – Finished down the track in two runs but the son of Helmet strikes as if he will continue to improve. Must significantly lift but mustn’t be ignored.

AXEL (3) – Performed well last time out when finishing runner-up to a smart one. Isn’t ideally drawn but is capable of figuring with a repeat dose. In the mix.

RACE 3

CROUCHING SUN (3) – Performed well last start and his efforts indicate he is ready to step up in trip to 1600m. Will race handy to the speed and is capable of fighting out the finish. Major player.

MOLINEUX (9) – Has been racing fairly well and will appreciate the rise in trip. His pedigree indicates he will relish the journey and he comes from a stable that is certainly in form. Contender.

BEBOP (10) – Yet to break through in Singapore but has been knocking on the door in recent times. Has performed well over the track/distance previously and gets conditions to suit. In the mix.

HIDDEN PROMISE (1) – Has been racing well in recent times but switches from the Polytrack surface to the turf track. Needs the right breaks from the awkward alley but will appreciate the claim of Zawari Razali.

RACE 4

ZULU WARRIOR (1) – Form of his maiden win is working out very well (three winners out of the race) and would represent a decent chance in this.

POET’S RYKER (5) – Runner-up to the selection two runs back and has gone on to win since and can continue in good form.

SMART RACER (6) – Slightly out of form at the moment but the booking of the in-form Michael Rodd takes the eye. One to watch.

VESONTIO (9) – Worth including for the exotics here.

RACE 5

SUN EMPIRE (1) – Would look like the pace in the race and if allowed a soft lead he could prove hard to peg back in a very weak race.

QUEEN OF QUEENS (9) – Best run to-date was last time out and if building on that, she is a chance.

GREATBALLS OF FIRE (3) - Always a chance in a race of this nature.

KING CROSS (7) – This old timer can run a sound race with the light weight.

RACE 6

MAN OF MYSTERY (1) – On debut in Singapore. Has had the benefit of the one trial leading into this where he was a 3.5-length winner. Vlad Duric/Mark Walker combining fresh from the good draw will be lethal. Hard to beat.

PRINCE ALEXANDER (7) – Has been racing well in recent times and finds another suitable race from the good draw. Gets the services of Michael Rodd and is capable of threatening with a repeat dose of last start.

ALLIED POWER (6) – This customer is better than his form suggests. Has had a recent break and has trialled well leading into this. Capable of figuring on his best efforts, so don’t ignore.

RACER KING (8) – Rarely wins but is constantly knocking on the door. Finds a suitable race to make amends for last start and will appreciate the claim of Koh Teck Huat. Worth including.

RACE 7

NOWYOUSEE (5) – Since running behind Be Bee in the Group 3 Singapore Three-Year-Old Sprint, Nowyousee has been at the top if his game. Final effort was the best – beating Cousteau by nearly five lengths over C&D. Has a better draw for this race – will hit the frame!

SIR ISAAC (6) – Awesome performance on September 7 in Kranji Stakes A – came with a late fast run over the 1200m to win in a close finish. Now cuts back 100m with Michael Rodd on board – can go close.

MARINE TREASURE (4) – Been consistent of late – getting cheques for connections in last four races. Only gone up one in ratings after a close third to Saraab in last race – Kranji Stakes B. Fits in well against the field.

LIM’S SHOT (11) – Forget last turf run – focus on March 23 (three back) run. Was leading all the way until the latter stages. Was backed but got beaten into third by Siam Sapphire. Check the tote board for money!

RACE 8

GOLD CITY (3) – This mare has been in top form winning a turf race back in May. Polytrack trip did not suit last time. Simple equation – best horse with best form

WHAT’S NEW (8) – Last-time winner over the Polytrack mile. Jockey change with Amirul Ismadi taking two kilos off will suit – after handicapper put the mare up six ratings points

LIM’S REVENT (5) – Good win against Verizon last time over 1400m on the lawn. Can progress and shape up well in this field

LITTLE BIG MAN (2) – In good form when Olivier Placais is on board. He is back this afternoon – include in your exotics.

RACE 9

ZAC KASA (8) – Consistent performer who finished second in the Group 1 Lion City Cup in May before having no luck last start. Returns fresh and finds a suitable assignment to make amends. Respect.

YULONG XIONGYIN (10) – Handy customer who has developed a serious record in four outings and appears to have the upside to improve again. Leading rider takes the ride from a good draw so expect bold showing.

SILKINO (7) – Impossible to knock on recent efforts. Has been climbing up the ratings with three wins in a row. This assignment is tougher but winning form is hard to ignore.

BIRAZ (6) – Performed well last start and fought on gamely despite being involved in a speed duel. Well drawn to figure and will appreciate the booking of the visiting Beau Mertens.

RACE 10

CALCULATION (4) – Won trial – won on debut – will be close to repeat victory. Michael Rodd on board and is riding like a demon to challenge for the jockeys title – will be there at the line

RICH FORTUNE (9) – Was progressing well at the line last time. Go back to August 24 – beat Honor in a very close finish. Will chase Calculation hard.

PIONEER SEVEN (2) – Drops in grade to Class 4 Non Premier – has the back class to get into the fight. Good apprentice jockey Simon Kok takes three kilos off to help.

SUPER SIX (6) – Has a better draw this time. Posted a fine third over 1100m on the Polytrack back on June 17. A repeat of that – include in the exotics.
