RACE 1

RICHEBOURG (7) – Won impressively on debut by over four lengths. The slight rise in trip will be appreciated and he is well drawn to repeat the dose. Will take beating.

GLORIA ECLIPSE (2) – She has developed a serious record in relatively short career. This assignment is tougher but the claim of apprentice jockey Noh Senari will offset that. Capable of contending at the business end.

HYDE PARK (4) – Interesting runner who drops back in class and trip for this affair and also switches to the Polytrack. Vlad Duric retains the ride, which is a massive push for this customer. Worth some thought.

EFFORTLESS (1) – Experienced campaigner who rarely wins but is never far from the mark. The top weight is offset by the four-kilo claim and is certainly worth including on best credentials. Don’t dismiss.

RACE 2

MACH (1) – Went down fighting by half-a-length against No Fun No Gain on September 14. Glen Boss retains the ride – was fancied last time. Sure to repeat that great performance over the C&D this Sunday.

TOOSBIES (15) – Won a barrier trial by five lengths in a good 60.51 time on September 11. Was thereabouts and ready to strike back on August 24 over C&D. Should come on for the trial and be spot-on for the race if he gets a berth.

BOY NEXT DOOR (2) – On last two efforts, has been knocking on the door collecting cheques for his owner. Beaten by under a length on August 24 – now handed a better draw and Nooresh Juglall riding. Have to respect.

LINCOLN MOONLIGHT (9) – Came out of Mach’s barrier trial on August 16 and posted a fair third on August 24. Started from a wide gate and used up petrol to get to the lead. This Sunday has an easier draw and John Powell can conserve some more gas for the finish.

RACE 3

KISS YOUR SONG (5) – Absolute superstar for connections. Placed in seven of his last eight races – done the hat-trick of wins back on August 24 and can continue – even though he is penalised with a six-rating points for last victory. Has a good middle draw that will allow John Powell to choose how to ride the horse.

CADET (4) – Another last time out winner on August 3. Beat Astrojet by ½ length in Class 3 grade. Can progress again with Nooresh Juglall on board from better draw in one. Likes to be upfront – ready to strike at the finish.

LIM’S RACER (3) – Likes to be the lamplighter from the “get-go”. Will be leading at the first turn – but needs to see out the minimum trip with no others competing for the cheap speed at start. Consistent mare – needs a bit of luck and should be in the frame.

YABADABADOO (7) – Been racing recently in top-graded company over wrong longer trips. Last time sprinting – ran really well with an all-the-way win in a Class 3 race back on March 2. A repeat of that would firmly put him in the finish.

RACE 4

OLYMPIC ANTHEM (2) – Fought on gamely last start when narrowly beaten. Well drawn in this affair to repeat the dose and gets conditions to suit. Major player on best credentials.

RAFAELLO (1) – Ultra-consistent customer who has been racing in great fashion. Had a recent trial to fine tune him for this affair and looks primed for a big showing. Must be respected.

BE BEE (9) – Was disappointing last start but has had a break and looks ready to go fresh in this affair. Gets down in the weights and will appreciate the trip. In the mix.

HERMANO MENOR (6) – Has been knocking on the door in recent times. Switches from the Polytrack back to the turf and will appreciate the claim of apprentice jockey Simon Kok. Must be included.

RACE 5

GOLD REWARD (1) – Rarely wins but is constantly knocking on the door. Well drawn in this affair and the decision to rise in trip must be respected from this yard. Major player on best efforts.

MATSURIBAYASHI (3) – Comes into this affair after an impressive last start victory. The rise in trip is no issue, well drawn and an accomplished rider takes the reins. Must be respected.

SONORAN (12) – Yet to win in seven starts in Singapore but appears to be crying out for this trip and gets in with a light weight. Will likely race off the speed, hit the line late and could be value in this affair.

INTROIT (2) – Bold frontrunner who is well drawn and is expected to be handy to the speed. Appears one-paced, so the rise in journey is no issue and gets the services of the most experienced rider in Singapore. Include.

RACE 6

ARAMCO (3) – Exited the Group 3 Jumbo Jet Trophy in good style – fifth beaten by 2.5 lengths. Now comes into an easier race with some notable scratchings. Drops to 1200m and Zyrul Nor Azman takes four kilos off – to make the task easier. Lots of positives going for this horse.

AL GREEN (7) – If this horse can transfer his form from Polytrack to turf – he has a major chance. Nearly won his last race – Kranji Stakes B on September 2. A little bit more of improvement and he can be in the judge’s photo.

CAPTAIN JAMIE (11) – Third in 2018 Singapore Guineas. Failed to progress last time over 1200m on Polytrack – but he did have a wide draw. Bounces from barrier No 4 in this race. If Nooresh Juglall gets the fractions right, this horse has a major say at the finish.

BIRAZ (8) – Been in a good recent form. Last two races, he has been the bridesmaid. Catches the inside one draw today, which will improve his chances.

RACE 7

KING LOUIS (12) – The Singapore Guineas runner-up performed well second-up on the Polytrack when narrowly beaten. Will appreciate the switch back to the turf, the rise in trip and gets down in the weights. Expect bold showing.

SKY ROCKET (7) – Comes into this affair as a last-start winner and finds another suitable task. Isn’t ideally drawn but has the services of leading rider Vlad Duric. Can contend with a repeat dose.

DICTON (11) – Was ultra-impressive two starts back. With handy credentials from Europe, the yard has had big aspirations for this customer and this may be the Grand Final. Worth some thought on best efforts.

MR SPIELBERG (1) – Experienced campaigner who has been tending to mix form in recent times but may be looking for the step up in trip. Drawn wide out but will appreciate the services of Hugh Bowman. In the mix.

RACE 8

NATIONALITY (11) – On debut in Singapore. Brings respectable credentials to this affair from New South Wales and has trialled well leading into this. Expect bold effort.

SILKINO (4) – Looking for three on the trot. This assignment is tougher from the wide alley but it’s hard to knock winning form. Will appreciate the claim and finds another suitable race to contest.

NOVA VOCAL (9) – Lightly-raced in Singapore and still appears to have upside to improve. Isn’t ideally drawn but must be included on best efforts and has the aid of apprentice Lim Aun Kean’s claim.

FLAK JACKET (2) – Experienced campaigner who has a handy record. Finds himself fairly well in at the weights with the claim of Zyrul Nor Azman. Must produce best but don’t ignore.

RACE 9

JUPITER GOLD (5) – 2018 Singapore Derby winner can be the 28th Raffles Cup winner on Sunday. Won his comeback race very well. Dug in deep to beat Biraz over a short 1200m. That prep should put the horse spot-on for this Group 1 race.

DEBT COLLECTOR (2) – Has been running in Singapore’s top races. Last time, had too much to do from the home turn. Rallied on well to finish second – if he had an extra 200m, he might have won. Connections get the 12 draw again – will go close

ELITE INVINCIBLE (12) – Group 1 Charity Bowl and Group 2 Stewards Cup winner needs to bounce back from a poor effort back on September 7. That was over 1200m – so the extra 400m will suit. Vlad Duric takes over – so you have to always respect a top horse with him on board.

CIRCUIT LAND (1) – Third in the Group 3 Jumbo Jet Trophy. Needs to improve off that to try to wrestle top honours from some quality horses in this 2018 edition. Had a trial on September 13 to get him right for this Group 1.

RACE 10

KIRKS RYKER (5) – Form does not look good – but if you drill down – the last run was decent. Was ready to strike after leading all the way – but faded over 1600m on Polytrack. Now cuts back 200m and reverts to turf with good South African jockey Muzi Yeni on board. Could be a good price to jump on.

RIVER GOLDEN (8) – Been recording some good form on poly over 1200m. Last run on August 31 – good third in this grade. Goes an extra 200m which will help and back on turf. Won on the lawn back on May 26 – major player.

TRIPLE TRIO (12) – Key form is two back. August 3 – C&D winner in a close finish with Gol Goal (races on Sunday). If he repeats that run – will go close.

MURRAYFIELD (9) – Will be in the scrum at the finish. Has won a middle distance on turf (Oct 22, 2017) – that was with Michael Rodd on board. Sunday is Rodd’s first ride back on the horse. Interesting clue.

RACE 11

LIM’S ZOOM (4) – Very consistent – has been chasing the cheques with a victory back on April 1. Vlad Duric keeps the ride – should be able to get the horse’s head down on the line first.

CROUCHING SUN (1) – Impressive debut winner doubled up nicely in Class 4 Premier. Only question is the surface – will he like the turf?

ELITE BEAST (2) – Forget last run and focus on two back. Nice second over C&D with Michael Rodd on board. Jockey returns for this race – watch the market.

THE WIND (9) – Been running on Polytrack recently. Now comes back to the turf. Bit of a roughie for the exotics.
