RACE 1

ZAHIR (8) – In decent form at the moment and should be respected in a very winnable race.

HOLY THOMAS (10) – Only half-a-length behind Zahir at their most recent encounter and can make his presence felt if is in the same form here.

POP GEMS (7) – Took a step in the right direction for new stable last time out when 2nd to the gambled on Peer Gynt, every chance on that form.

SUGARTIME JAZZ (4) – Wasn’t too bad last start, include here for flexi quartet.

RACE 2

GOOD CATCH (1) – Yet to find a cure to his bad case of seconditis. Good gate. This time or never.

DAVID’S STAR (9) – Seems to be a morning star. Did not live up to trial form on debut. Don’t write him off just yet.

IRON FIST (11) – Expect improvement after his debut fast-finishing third. Drops back in distance, though. Might pinch a place late.

LONHRO GOLD (2) – Not without some potential. Handles Polytrack good. Experience on his side.

RACE 3

HONOR (5) – If her last-start flying second to Ocean Master is anything to go by, she will take some beating here.

GOLDEN SPARK (9) – Posted a convincing win last start. Faces stiffer lot but if he reproduces his form, he won’t be out of his depth.

POMP (8) – Does not win often, but did look the part at his last start when second to Fusion Power. The Desmond Koh-Michael Rodd combination is interesting and is a strong pointer to his chances.

RICH FORTUNE (6) – Flew home at long odds to just pip Optimum Star last time out. Had blinkers off then and won’t have them on again. Each-way chance.

RACE 4

WHAT’S NEW (3) – Been prepared for the 3YO Classic. Talented filly who will find the mile right up her alley.

ONE FORCE (7) – Made mince-meat of Maiden rivals last time out. Didn’t beat much, though. This is more challenging but a place is still within the realms of possibility.

LIM’S REVENT (1) – Caught the eye on debut. Will strip fitter for this. Always go with a touch of wariness second-up, but he should still be thereabouts.

VESONTIO (9) – Scored a slashing win on turf three starts back. Seems to need more ground. Keep safe.

RACE 5

TARGET (5) – Had them well beat at the 200m marker last time out in this grade, in great form and has conditions to suit. The one they have to beat on recent form.

ARHAT (3) – Was an impressive C/D winner last June and is now back on Polytrack and up in trip which will suit him, he can run a nice race here.

MIGHTY KENNY (1) – The 2000m might have been a touch too far on his most recent outing. Better placed under these conditions, place chance.

SANDTOP (6) – Continues to show little glimpses of form, include for exotics.

RACE 6

COULD BE PEARLS (1) – Touch disappointing second-up. Ran on late, but was beaten way out of his ground. Meets winner Curvature 3.5kg better. Will appreciate extra 200m.

LIM’S DASHING (8) – Handy sort in this grade, but had no luck at the draw. May have to be ridden for luck. Chance if he gets a nice smother in transit.

CURVATURE (4) – Won last two but wide gate against him this time, even if longer trip is a plus. Meets stronger lot as well. Place claims.

SUPER TYCOON (9) – Has shown significant progress in two starts this campaign. Up in grade. With low handicap and low draw, he can still finish in the frame.

RACE 7

LOVING YOU (4) – Was rather disappointing in a much stronger race last time on the turf and a return to Polytrack might just be what she is after. This won’t take a great deal of winning and the percentage call is to stick with the filly to bounce back to form.

ACROSS THE SEA (10) – Missed the break last time and eventually stayed on quite well to be beaten just over 1L, can show up well with the light weight.

PAPERBACK TROOPER (6) – Rather hard to catch right from time to time but won a trial (62.17) last week and this will be his debut run on the surface. Interesting.

SOONBABY (2) – Could have a part to play on some recent form, one for the multiples.

RACE 8

MR CLINT (7) – Came from the rear and kept finding the line to beat all but Be Bee in the Sprint. Will relish extra 200m. Big say.

LORD O’REILLY (12) – Scored impressive win last time. Will get back and charge home late. Faces biggest test, and awkward alley doesn’t help his cause, but still commands a lot of respect.

BE BEE (1) – Classy sort who showed his true colours at his Sprint win. Will enjoy the run of the race from barrier No 1. Tougher ask this time, but will be in the firing line for a long way.

CAPTAIN JAMIE (6) – Must be rated a lively chance on his last-start closing third in Sprint. Longer even better. Nicely drawn and should be right in the mix in this.

RACE 9

NIMITZ (2) – Lightly-raced 4YO, who has been given time since his last run (Oct 17) when found to be ‘not striding out freely’. He has trialled really well of late and is clearly a horse that goes well fresh and the form of his maiden win has worked out well.

EASTIGER (5) – Form of Restricted Maiden success has taken a couple of boosts recently with wins for both Wecando and Fusion Power, and he ran a nice race when runner-up to runaway winner Sky Rocket last time.

WHY NOT (7) – Well backed last time out when only 4th in the end, sound run nevertheless and keep a check on the market.

LITTLE BIG MAN (6) – Recorded third win over 1400m on turf last time in slightly weaker company, conditions here are not ideal but has to be respected.
