RACE 1

ALRINA (1) – Inching closer to her maiden win. The 1400m should be right up her alley.

ZAHIR (10) – Missed victory narrowly at last two starts. May well be trainer Bruce Marsh’s much-needed first 2018 win.

GENERAL CONATUS (3) – Did his best work at the finish at his last start. Will relish extra 200m. Not without claims.

ANY RUMOUR (7) – Flew home late for third at his last run. Does not win often but is certainly not out of his depth here.

RACE 2

AUSPICIOUS DAY (3) – Can be a little bit slow at the start of his races. Jumped fast in a recent trial and if he can repeat on raceday he rates a huge chance.

KRANJI GOLD (2) – Perfectly drawn to lead the field and will be hard to catch. Will appreciate a quiet run on the speed.

HENG KINGDOM (1) – Had a nice run in transit last time and closed off well to place in the same race as Kranji Gold.

ONE FORCE (5) – Had a tough run recently when rearward and wide and still ran on fairly. Recent trials have been good and he is a logical improve

RACE 3

EL TORDILLO (5) – Stick with him after he got off the mark last start with dominant win. On that form, he will take a power of beating here.

KEEP WINNING (8) – Came from near-last to run second last time out. Shorter trip does not help his cause, but he can steal a place.

THE GOLDEN GOAT (6) – Tried frontrunning tactics last time out and was swamped late. Might be better off ridden just off the speed from barrier No 2.

SPECIAL RAIN (4) – Ran a closing third to River Golden at his last outing. Unlike what his name suggests, he prefers dry tracks. Quartet place on the cards.

RACE 4

ENHANCEMENT (1) – Irish-bred returning from a break. Showed natural speed at his three runs here. Can figure here.

BELT AND ROAD (2) – Looked the winner last time out. There is a race for him soon.

LIBECCIO (3) – Has come close a few times. Reverts to Polytrack over which he has not really done well, though. Outside chance.

SILVER SKY (6) – Not beaten out of his ground in recent starts. Making slow headway without blinkers. Distance not suitable, but he can still make his presence felt.

RACE 5

GALAXY EXPRESS (4) – Will appreciate the 54kgs after the claim for Noh Senari. Does his best racing with a lighter weight and should run very well.

DRAGON (11) – 9yo who hasn’t won for 2 years. He has been thundering home recently and will most likely get a mile back again and finish hard for Olivier Placais.

MATSURIBAYASHI (1) - Grade dropper into Class 5. Only a one-time winner. Looks nicely suited here with just 53kgs after placing at Class 4 company in February.

THE ONE (6) – Battled away fairly last time out after working. Has a poor record on turf, so will need to improve.

RACE 6

ABEBE (2) –Singapore newcomer who brings some handy form from Australia. He has had two quiet trials thus far. Expect a forward showing with the blinkers on for his Singapore debut.

WIRA SAKTI (1) – Did a great job placing at his first run in Singapore after sitting wide with 58kgs. Terrible draw here so he may have to work hard again but he looks promising.

DONTLOOKDOWNONME (9) – Just his 2nd run at the trip after being unplaced earlier in his career at 1400m. Closing performances over shorter indicate he is ready for the longer journey.

QINGDAO (3) – Bled in November and returns here after an enforced break. Positive jockey booking with Vlad Duric to ride.

RACE 7
MAXIMUS (1) – Showed that he is a very promising horse with a gutsy placing to Black Swan recently. Meets Black Swan better at the weights and can exact revenge here.

AOTEAROA (5) – Small mare who ran fast time to post her third win in Singapore. Goes up 2kgs which is not ideal but she is racing in great heart.

MIGHTY KENNY (3) – Nice stayer who produced a below-par effort last time but it is well worth forgiving, based on prior excellent performances.

BLACK SWAN (2) - Possibly the most improved horse in Singapore with five wins and four placings since June 17. Has gone from “joke horse” to potential Singapore Gold Cup candidate.

RACE 8

CURVATURE (1) – Probably not quite fully wound- up on debut. Snitzel gelding with potential. Barrier No 2 will give him every chance.

COME AND TAKE ALL (7) – Scored comfortably last time out. Blinkers seem to have switched him on. Will be in the mix.

WHISTLING WIN (5) – Last two runs have been a lot more encouraging. Drawn in. Threat if he gets to stalk the speed.

Q NINE MILLION (10) – Beat off easier opposition at his last start. This looks tougher. Place claims at best.

RACE 9

MR HANKS (7) – Will strip fitter after first-up run. Talented individual who can account for this lot at his peak.

WEBSTER (2) – Has found competition harder at last couple of runs but has stacks of ability. This is easier and he goes over his pet trip of 1200m (all three wins over that trip). Blinkers on.

LIM’S BLAST (8) – Lost no marks at his last run when a solid second to Justice Day. Should be thereabouts again.

UNCONQUERED (6) – One of those horses who can strike when least expected. First test over 1200m. Keep safe.

RACE 10

AUGUSTANO (3) – Improving gelding who is in career best form. Likely to sit up on the pace and is a tough horse to run down.

GRAN TORINO (1) – Won easily last time and has increased its rating from 50 to 74 since August 2017. Extra 3kgs to carry, and slightly further makes it a little harder here.

BAFFERT (6) - Badly checked last start at a crucial stage. Recent trial was good and rates a chance from Gate 1.

IMPERIAL WIN (10) - Trialled brilliantly recently. Former Karaka Million winner as a 2yo in New Zealand. Formerly raced as Xiong Feng and Dan The Man and now has another name change to Imperial Win.

RACE 11

LIM’S RIPPLE (1) – Has been campaigning in unsuitable races but has now found the perfect opportunity. Opting to go without blinkers but looks a strong hope.

PER INCHARGE (2) – Lost no admirers last time when outsprinted in the final stages. Previous win was immense and should go close to winning again.

ZA’EEM (4) – Unbeaten at the distance and his last-start closing performance indicates that he will be better suited at this trip.

REINE DASHER (3) – Saddle shifted last time when a creditable third when wearing blinkers. Follow now that he has found form with the headgear.
