RACE 1

SIMPANG (10) – 9YO who continues to race well. Every chance with luck in running.

GENERAL CONATUS (2) – A proven winner with six wins under his belt. Close up in a better race last time and will appreciate Class 5.

ENERGIZER (9) – Tends to get back in his races. Has good closing sprint but will rely on tempo and track conditions.

RACING TALENT (5) – Finished close up in a race which has thrown up a ton of winners. Freshened up for this.

RACE 2

KISS YOUR SONG (1) - Backing up from last Saturday when overpowered late over 1200m. Has pace and the shift back to the 1000m might be a winning move.

VISTARA (7) – Found to be lame after weakening on debut in December. Continues to trial strongly and is definitely open to improvement.

QUARTER BACK (12) - Could be worth a punt after a pleasing trial. Japanese-bred newcomer with a strong jockey booking of Ryan Curatolo.

DAVID’S STAR (11) - Coasted home in recent trial win, clocking 61.59. Watch betting closely on this American-bred colt.

RACE 3

WONDERFUL KNIGHT (6) – Loves to lead and might take some catching if the track conditions suit. Prefer on the Short Course but rates a big chance.

FIRST CHOICE (8) – Improved with the blinkers last time. Went straight to the front and won easily when heavily-backed. Blinkers removed to help see out the extra trip.

XIONG FONG (7) – Had a poor run in transit and expected to improve dropping back to 1200m and drawing gate 1. His jockey Troy See is unlikely to claim off this light weight.

JUSTICE DAY (1) – Had a terrible barrier last time and the run was full of merit coming from a wide stall.

RACE 4

BASILISK (9) – Has been costly to follow! But one more chance is given in what looks a winnable sort of race.

WIRA SAKTI (2) – 2nd on debut in Australia over 1400m on heavy ground and is related to 3 winners.
LUCKY TIGER (1) – Placed on 9 occasions from 16 starts in Australia up to 2000m, starts off life here in a weak affair.

SILVER SKY (7) – 3rd last time out, quartet hope.

RACE 5

FAREES (2) – Rocketed home over 1000m at the end of January in 23.59 to run 5th, better suited here with headgear back on.

RIVER GOLDEN (7) – C/D winner and wasn’t far away last time over 1400m on the turf, has a nice weight of 54.5kgs.

MAJULAH (5) – 2nd in a Non Premier on latest run, each-way chance in this.

BARNATO (1) – Dropping back into class 4 will suit nicely for this Ricardo Le Grange-trained galloper.

RACE 6

CHAIRMAN WIND (1) – Tentative selection in a tough race to find the winner of, he is however a C/D winner and stable is in good form.

MUSCULAR CAPTAIN (5) – Better last time out and this return to turf can suit him well.

BIG REGARDS (7) – Short of room in the straight on latest start, hard to say if he would have won. But could have finished closer than 5th, chance here.

ARCHER COMPANY (8) – Rather unpredictable character. On best form can make the frame.

RACE 7

NOWYOUSEE (12) – Has the light weight and trialled well recently, winning in 60.79. Up-and-coming 3yo being primed for the 3yo Sprint in March. Faces biggest test here.

DISTINCTIVE DARCI (4) – Loves the Polytrack and has the addition of blinker-pacifiers which may see a strong return to form. Chance if he can race closer to the pace.

DEIMOS (11) – Had excuses last time and it would be wise not to drop him off hastily. The Cliff Brown-trained chestnut has a big finish and should be charging home at the end.

NOVA SWISS (1) – Polytrack horse of the year in 2017 and has all the credentials. He got too far back on the Turf last time. Heavy weight and a wide gate make it tough but he is too good to ignore.

RACE 8

EXCELLENCY (3) – Got elusive first local success last time in good style, has plenty of class and can now progress nicely from here.

GOLAZO (10) – Given a vintage Alan Munro ride last time to score over 1800m, had a handy type in 2nd (Lim’s Regard), consistent sort who should go well.

MIGHTY KENNY (1) – Classy type. 3rd earlier this month to Elite Invincible and has trialed well since, should go close.

GOLD FAITH (11) – Closed off nicely (23.69) in a decent Class 3 last time out, might have needed that run and can prove a nice bit of value here.

RACE 9

PRINCE ALEXANDER (8) – Building to a win after two strong efforts in Open Maiden company. Still learning and open to more improvement.

AUSPICIOUS ACE (5) –Hasn’t won since 2016 when a winner on debut. Struggling to break through again but recent Class 4 form is good enough to go close here.

MILLION ROUND (12) – Missed the start last time and produced a big finish to win a Class 5. Has the talent but a big question mark at this level.

MIKCAIPHO (1) – Travelled strongly last time before being denied a run at a crucial stage. This is not strong and he rates a good chance if he can find his best form.
