What's New
What's New

Race 1
Selections; 2 KATAGAS - 3 MY GOLD - 1 ENTHUSE - 4 YULONG FAST STEED
A competitive non-premier Class 4 in which there should be plenty of speed. KATAGAS had all sorts of excuses last start including the saddle shifting and being caught wide throughout. He gets Michael Rodd and he will be hard to hold out. The danger may be MY GOLD who led clearly before being run down late last start over 1100m; he will find this easier, gets Ryan Curatolo and should be prominent throughout. ENTHUSE was with the leaders throughout and just missed in this company last start; with Amirul he up will be hard to run down. These look the main chances although YULONG FAST STEED gets Vlad Duric and blinkers while FRAGRANCE EMPIRE races best fresh and can be considered. Betting strategy - KATAGAS win.

Race 2
Selections; 11 LOVING YOU - 4 GOOD CATCH - 3 CENTURION - 2 CONFIDE
A Restricted Maiden where all eyes will be on a newcomer in LOVING YOU. The 3YO US-bred filly won her Official Trial by some 13 lengths in the fastest time on that day and you would imagine the punters will jump on in droves and it will be interesting to see how short she starts. If she doesn't bring her trial form to the races, GOOD CATCH had support and debuted well and will give her something to beat. He should be improved for the run and will appreciate gate 5 with Juglall to ride. CONFIDE also comes off a last start placing while SATELLITE WARRIOR could be forgiven his poor last start effort and plays a part. The big improver is CENTURION at any old odds with blinkers likely to sharpen him up off the back of a good trial. Betting Strategy - LOVING YOU will be short, CENTURION at long odds.

Race 3
Selections; 1 SWIFT EMBRACE - 2 ABLE PINS - 4 DYNAMIC EAGLE - 7 DONTLOOKDOWNONME
A Maiden with only a few main chances. SWEET EMBRACE improved last start and his recent trial was sound, Michael Rodd stays on and with blinkers added he should be very hard to hold off. ABLE PINS is improving with recent racing and should be handy throughout. DYNAMIC EAGLE showed improvement and was run down late last start; the 4kg claim helps and he should be prominent. These look the main chances but DONTLOOKDOWNONME ran on well last start while SATELLITE MASTER placed two starts back, his recent trial was solid and he can improve from a good gate. Betting Strategy - SWEET EMBRACE win.

Race 4
Selections; 5 GANNET - 3 LIM'S BULLET - 4 MORALES - 9 GOLDEN THUNDER
A moderate group do battle over 1400m in a non-premier Class 4, which could give GANNET a chance to open his account in Singapore. The 6YO ran on very well last start, this trip will suit and he may be hard to hold out. LIM'S BULLET just missed last start, he should get a good run throughout and be hard to hold off. MORALES ran on well and just missed last start; he can get back but should be closing late. They are the principal chances with good recent form but not the only ones. GOLDEN THUNDER hit the front before being run down late in this class last start, SUPERMART comes off a last start win and WHITE COFFEE had excuses not to be in the mix last start so worth thought. Betting strategy - GANNET each-way.

Race 5
Selections; 8 HOT GOLD - 11 GOLDEN COIN - 10 SUN SEEKER - 9 KUBERA'S CHIEF
Another one of these very ordinary Class 5's where the majority of the field have little to recommend them. In this case the best chances could be the emergencies in HIGHLIGHT and BONJOUR BOB both of whom have been racing solidly in this class. However, assuming they do not get a run, HOT GOLD has battled away at both outings since resuming but is suited in this class. Michael Rodd stays on and he could improve. Few of the rest have any form to recommend though GOLDEN COIN has battled on solidly at recent starts and gets a chance with Vlad Duric to ride from a good gate while KUBERA'S CHIEF and SUN SEEKER should be prominent throughout. Betting strategy - market watch the order of the day, GOLDEN COIN each-way.

Race 6
Selections; 2 DON DE LA VEGA - 4 REINE DASHER - 6 PARADOR - 3 MR MOSA
A competitive Class 4 with a number of chances. DON DE LA VEGA is resuming after showing earlier promise; he has had two trials and should be handy throughout with Michael Rodd to ride. PARADOR won a Maiden narrowly despite the saddle slipping last start; this is harder but he should be prominent. MR MOSA showed speed and fought on well in this company last start; with Amirul to take a 2kg claim he can be prominent. They look the top three but the chances don't end there. REINE DASHER battled on when resuming and blinkers may help, he is a Morphettville Maiden winner who can improve. The rider lost the irons on BORN TO BE KING last start and the run can be forgotten; he showed speed when winning Maiden and could be prominent throughout. Betting strategy - REINE DASHER value.

Race 7
Selections; 9 WHAT'S NEW - 1 MR COLIN - 5 MOST FAVORITE - 3 KEY SUCCESS
A Novice with six of the nine horses engaged coming off last start wins. The filly WHAT'S NEW impressed when resuming with a strong Maiden win and with Amirul's claim she gets in with no weight and should be hard to hold off. MR COLIN bolted in at debut and has had a quiet trial since; he is promising and should be hard to hold off. KEY SUCCESS won a Maiden comfortably on the poly last start; he is having his first turf outing but should be prominent from the good gate. MOST FAVOURITE won well over 1100m on the poly at debut, the extra distance should suit but he needs to overcome he awkward draw. For the exotics, TRIGAMY and INFANTRY ECLIPSE are both last start winners who can get in the mix. Betting Strategy - WHAT'S NEW win.

Race 8
Selections; 7 CHOCOLATS - 6 TURF CHAMPION - 5 KINGS RYKER - 1 MIGHTY EMPEROR
A very tough race for punters with three of the eight runners coming off last start wins, a couple with their foot on the till and another couple to watch at odds. CHOCOLATS is yet to win at five starts in Singapore but certainly is due. The 4YO gave a sight over 1600m last start and the step up to 2000m might see a result. Not much separates the three last start winners in TURF CHAMPION, KIRKS RYKER and DALGETY and expect support for the trio. KIRKS RYKER won over this trip but both TURF CHAMPION and DALGETY look well suited stepping up 200 and 400m respectively. MIGHTY EMPEROR, PUSAKA can also figure while O'REILLY'S DANCER looks a good value option. Betting Strategy - CHOCOLATS each-way.

Race 9
Selections; 2 GOL GOAL - 1 SHOWAR - 4 CLAUDIA'S BEAUTY - 5 THIRD ROCK
Plenty of winning hopes in this Class 4 (Non Premier) mile and there will be value to be found on the day. As it stands, last start maiden winner CLAUDIA'S BEAUTY probably starts favourite as she has shown previously she handles this Company and must go close. AVENGERS HERO also broke his maiden status last start but this is tougher and the market may be the best guide. But GOL GOAL gets his chance to knock in what would be a well-deserved win. The 5YO ran on well against the bias last start when supported and this race and track look suitable to win. THIRD ROCK also ran on well last start at long odds and the step up to the mile with Duric on-board suggests he may be some hope for value punters. SHOWAR, SOUTHERN GLORY and LITTLE BIG MAN three others that win without surprising. Betting Strategy - GOL GOAL win, saver on THIRD ROCK.

Race 10
Selections; 7 SAHARA EAGLE - 1 DARCI CHARMER - 11 MELTING POINT - 6 AOTEAROA
Punters will need to take a small leap of faith following SAHARA EAGLE in the lucky last but with issues last start (roarer), it will pay to forgive and forget that run and take on his debut Singapore win. The 4YO made every post a winner on a track that suited on pace runners that day but he looked the goods and happy to think he can win in this Company. Plenty of other chances including DARCI CHARMER who returned to form when just missing in a similar affair last start and MELTING POINT who looked to have something in the tank last start over 1200m and may be value. AOTEAROA and the very honest TESORO PRIVADO are both well and truly in the mix as are the three last start winners in the field, YAYA PAPAYA, ELISE and SATELLITE WINNER.
