After being hampered by the problem during the previous 12 months Marsh underwent the surgery which sidelined him from bowling for nine months.
According to Marsh he has spent the time off to improve his batting and the 26-year-old has been playing solely as a batsman for WA in the recent past.
He hopes to return to his bowling duties in the Sheffield Shield encounter with Victoria starting December 3.
According to Marsh his training sessions are going well and he will hopefully be available for the rest of the summer for play.
Also, according to him, it has been a frustrating nine months as an all-rounder but he has had ample time to improve on his batting during the time.
Marsh has had a polarizing 21 match Test career with an average of 21.74 with the bat.
The WA Skipper has enjoyed his time out off the intense spotlight but will be keen to return to the Test arena as soon as the injury permits.
Marsh was the opinion that he has to do well at the upcoming Sheffield Shield tournament if he is to proceed as the best No. 6 for Australia.
