Crow stalwart Thompson joins rivals Port

Friday, 17 November 2017: Retired Adelaide Crows stalwart Scott Thompson has joined AFL rivals Port Adelaide as a development coach.

Adelaide's retired dual club champion Scott Thompson has joined AFL rivals Port Adelaide as a development coach.

Thompson, who ended his decorated 308-game playing career at the end of the 2017 season, has been appointed as a midfield development coach by the Power.

Thompson played SANFL reserves for the Port Magpies before being drafted to the AFL by Melbourne in 2000, where he spent four years before being traded to the Crows.
