The All Australian back-man suffered major ligament injury in his right knee at the Crows’ qualifying final win against GWS.
Smith is tipped to be sidelined for 12 months and is bound to miss their club’s shot at the Premiership this year.
According to Pyke, Smith’s response to the injury was a revelation of his strong character, clearly disappointed but stoic in acceptance.
Smith will participate in the Adelaide’s defensive group meeting parting his valuable experience and insights on the eve of their preliminary final against Geelong.
According to Pyke, Smith is as keen as anyone in the team for a win this weekend and is 100% behind his teammates despite the injury.
His support is appreciated by the team and his situation sympathized by his long-standing colleagues said Pyke
