RACE 1

The Mark Walker yard can’t do any wrong these days. Saddles a duo who can run 1-2 here. Star Strike (3) steamed home to run a close-up fourth first-up from a spell. Will strip fitter for this. Top chance. Moment Of Justice (2) powered home for a convincing win over the mile last time out. Back in trip. Wide barrier is immaterial as he gets back. May, however, have to settle for second place this time. Dreams Come True (1) went all the way at his last outing. Has maintained the same form. No reason why he cannot double the dose. Silent Arrow (8) is having his first run for his new trainer. Blinkers on. Keep safe.

RACE 2

Danzeb (1) again came up short at his last run. Just needs an ounce of luck. New Sensation (4) was in a good spot at his last start but could not quite quicken. Blinkers seem to have sharpened him up. Not without a say. Cai Poh Wang (3) arrived too late to run fifth but less than one length off the winner Immortal Legacy. May not be ready to win but can finish on board. Redoubt (2) showed the way at his last outing but again shortened up close home. May not be that good after all but is still a place prospect.

RACE 3

A winner on New Year’s Day, Major Advancement (8) has since shown patchy form, but did fo well at his recent barrier trials. Not without claims here. Biraz (1) ran second in a barrier trial on June 29. Looks fit and ready. Can be counted on first-up. Premier Fighter (2) stuck on well for second last time out. Will appreciate extra 100m. Maidanz Beauty’s (4) form has tapered off a little. Drawn awkwardly but if she can tuck in somewhere with cover, she may bounce back to her best here.

RACE 4

Lots of newcomers with unexposed form here. Going with one who has shown some qualities at his only start, Sahaba (3). Will be suited by a genuine pace. Boy Wonder (2) handled the turf and 1200m a lot better at her second start. Leading chance. Ignore Safeer’s (15) last run when he drew the outermost alley from 16 and was unable to make his presence felt. Wide again but seems fitter for the run. Can sneak into a place if he gets a berth. Venus De Milo (14) ran on for third two starts back. Improver who can land a surprise here.

RACE 5

Vote goes to Darci’s Boy (5). Pair of shades really sharpened him up at his last race. Only query is the wide gate, but if he can overcome that, he will be in with a great shout. Greatballs Of Fire (6) gets a great chance to bounce back to the winner’s circle. Has been around the mark of late and recombines with winning jockey from two starts back, Michael Rodd. Pacifiers on. Good Lucky (11) has been running well over that trip without winning. Nice gate. Chance if he gets a good posie in transit. Hee’s Forte (7) won over 1100m on Polytrack at his last start. Blinker-pacifiers switched to blinkers only. Nice barrier.

RACE 6

Small but select field. Nova Strike (4) ran a race full of merit in the Singapore Derby. Back in trip but he is a versatile sort who can handle that switch with ease. Blinkers back on. Go close. On the way Golden Curl (5) won last time out, there is every chance he may repeat the same feat here. Has drawn an alley. Worth another shot. Best Tothelign (2) ran a smashing third to stablemate Blue Swede at his last start. Back in form and must be included in calculations. Majestic Moments (1) is a classy sort resuming from a nine-month spell. May need the run but his class can see him finish in the quartet.

RACE 7

Debut winner Ettijah (5) found the opposition tougher in Kranji Stakes D company at his second run. Has pulled up a treat and can make amends. Facing steep rise in distance but he is by Jimmy Choux and can acquit himself very well. Northern Knight (3) has a good turn of foot. If he brings his A-game here, he can finish in the money. Earmuffs replaced by blinker-pacifiers. Happy Saga (8) must be credited with a solid fourth to One Rar two weeks ago. Can put best foot forward here. Super Tycoon (4) did not back up on his impressive last-start winning effort. Awkward alley does not help matters. Outside chance.

RACE 8

Blinkers and a better gate could see Mr Hanks (2) return to his best form in the Juvenile Championship. Ignore his last run when the wide barrier worked against him. Has been kept ticking over and has what it takes to claim this. The Aushorse Golden Horseshoe winner Be Bee (1) is no slouch either. He has exceeded expectations so far and gives the impression he is a horse who is still developing further. Drawn a bit awkwardly, but he should be able to find some cover. Major say. Ferocious (4) ran below expectations in the Aushorse. Still did his best work at the finish. Chance if not outpaced so far back. Tongue-tie on. Charger (3) surprised a few with his fighting second in the Aushorse. Gate not as good this time. May have to settle for another minor placing.

RACE 9

This is a lot easier for Excellency (1). Outclassed in the Singapore Derby, he should be able to issue a stiffer challenger this time even if he is down in trip. Guilty Pleasures (4) can mix his form a little. If he reproduces his last run when a closing third to Mr Crowe in a 1400m race, he should be a big factor over the mile. Chairman (10) outstayed his rivals at his last outing. Drops back to the mile. Will find this sharper but will still be in the hunt for a long way. Mighty Emperor (6) lost no friends at his last outing. The mile will be right up his alley. Exercise caution.

RACE 10

Close contest in the last. Unconquered (3) won second-up but it proved harder than thought. Still in fine trim. Faces tougher ask but still looks the goods for another win. Tongue-tie off. He will have to look out for Queen Roulettte (11). Raced handy at her last outing and stayed on gamely for second. Always a threat in such events. Elite General (6) has been freshened up a little. Looks in fine fettle on the training tracks. Can fill the minors. Dragon Highness (8) made winning look easy at his last start. Place claims look better this time.
