Steve Smith and Pat Cummins will spearhead NSW's one day team as the Blues' selected all six of their Ashes Test stars to face Tasmania on Wednesday.

Smith, Cummins, David Warner, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon will all play at North Sydney Oval.

Refreshed fast bowlers Cummins and Hazlewood return to domestic action for the first time since the Ashes.

Smith, Warner, Starc and Lyon are coming off an eight-wicket victory over Tasmania in a Sheffield Shield match which ended on Monday.

Left-arm quick Starc was outstanding as he claimed two five-wickets hauls to finish the match with figures of 10-60 from 44 overs - his best Shield return.

Smith scored a first innings century before he turns his attention to the shorter form of the game.
