Tuesday, 18 June 2019: Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on June 18.

Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Nowra, Tamworth, Ballarat & Townsville.

Ballarat Synthetic: Race 5 @ 2:20pm

Speed across the barriers with Esprit Finale and Coco Couture perhaps the most prominent from the jump. SKY ROYALE (2) will use the low gate and improved plenty winning the Maiden third up at Bendigo. This doesn’t look much harder and with the low gate and handy claim he can win again. COCO COUTURE (3) will make short work of the tricky gate and will be better for the first-up run. She’s been racing in much stronger and gets her chance with the 4kg claim. NINE CLOUDS (4) will come over with the above and brings good form to the resumption. He will be in it a long way. TONTERIA (5) hasn’t been far away without much luck and is in the mix along with SISTER MAREE (12). [b]SELECTIONS:[/b] #2 Sky Royale looks a reasonable bet and the nearly double each way odds.

Tamworth: Race 1 @ 12.50pm

Plenty of early pressure here with Swiglars from a good gate the likely leader. EUROGLIDER (2) has not raced for 32 weeks but still looks the one to beat. Finished just 0.7 lengths from the winner when resuming over 1050m at Morphettville last prep. Won a recent trial at Armidale by a big space under new trainer Stirling Osland and looks ready to fire. LITTLE GEOFFREY (3) did his best work late to get up for 2nd when resuming over 900m at Newcastle last start. Placed at both runs here and with added fitness today presents as a serious threat. SWIGLARS (4) showed pace and battled on gamely to hold 3rd last time out over 1120m at Grafton. Will take plenty of catching coming back to this trip. CROWD SURFER (1) will be ready to run well first up from a spell. [b]SELECTIONS:[/b] #2 Euroglider is poised to win first up.

Townville: Race 2 @ 1:58pm

The former Victorian SWEET PERFUME (7) followed a close up resuming effort with a soft win at this track last time when she drew clear late. This region clearly suits her and she can go on with it. FOXY FELINE (9) resumes. She was racing well at the end of last campaign, closing off with a win and a placing. Has a good record here. Expect a bold return. AIRACOBRA (1) is another first up and has placed at both previous fresh attempts. Won his only run here and likes this distance. SPARKLY STAR (4) is worth thought off a last-start Cairns win. [b]SELECTIONS:[/b] #7 Sweet Perfume to go back to back.
