Amanda Spratt's title defence at the Emakumeen Bira race in Spain is on track after she won stage two.
It put Spratt into the overall lead and is also the first European win this season for the in-form Mitchelton-Scott rider.
She kicked clear on the final 1km climb to take out the stage and now has a 12-second lead in the overall standings with two stages left.
Earlier this week, Spratt was runner-up as Australian teammate Lucy Kennedy scored her first European win at the Durango-Durango one-day race in Spain.
This month, Spratt was fifth overall at the Tour of Yorkshire.
