Eight TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Ballina, Mudgee, Moonee Valley, Mornington, Doomben, Mount Barker, Penola and Devonport.

Mudgee: Race 7 @ 5:15pm

Missybeel can take up the lead. Wide open race. IMPAVIDO is current favourite and you can get e/w odds about him. Backs up from last saturday at Rosehill where he never got a full look at them. Not saying he would've won but the finishing position/margin should've been slightly more attractive in the form guides. Successful few runs in Brisbane going back a month and happy to bank on proper city metro form in this race. Hard to beat. TAHSIN is very hit and miss. Another runner from Sydney venturing west for a taste of Country Cups. Based on his third to Waruna two back he'd go close to winning this. There is two of him however and your hoping more than anything that his mind is on the job. Low draw and claims suit. APPOINT PERCY has won two in a row at home. Luke Pepper isn't here for a sticky beak. SELECTIONS: Missybeel for the win.

Mornington: Race 6 @ 3:55pm

HERE COMES LENNI has missed a whisker both runs back and had no luck the latest heavily-backed. Finally gets a low gate to use and rates to break through. CHARLIE'S WORLD resumes for the sharp yard and has won fresh. He’s trialled and can be in the photo at best. DISCREET CHARM resumed on town for the new yard and looked in need of it. Keeps Childs and an improved effort won’t surprise. ROYAL VOLLEY can find a spot. SELECTIONS: # 5 Here Comes Lenni looks well set up and the current $3.6 looks juicy.

Penola: Race 4 @ 5:20pm (AEDT)

THE ANT'S PANTS showed ability in a brief maiden campaign highlighted by a win at this course and distance on debut. Prepared for this with a close second in a trial. Can make a winning return. BURNING MAN is another that performed well at his initial preparation and went to the paddock off a Murray Bridge win. Could go on with things this time in. BROBAK made an encouraging return when running on for a close third. Races well at this circuit. SELECTIONS: Backing #2 The Ant's Pants to make a winning return from #11 and #1.

Devonport: Race 6 @ 5:27pm

Meteor Strike and Harriman work forward. The scratching of Flikpix hurts the race in terms of depth. Suspect JUBILANCE is the main beneficiary. Ran second on resuming at Launceston last start. Fitter and can go one better. HARRIMAN gets the Blinkers applied for the first time. Showing promise and was a debut winner at this track. EXCLUSIVE SATURDAY the best of the rest. SELECTIONS: Going with #7 Jubilance to build on that solid first up display from #2 and #8.

Doomben: Race 6 @ 6:20pm (AEDT)

ARCHER'S PARADOX is a talented filly who made an encouraging return when placed at this course and distance. That was in open three-year-old company so is suited back to a C3 second up. UNCONDITIONAL has been gelded since a successful maiden campaign that saw him win twice, both at this distance. Go well fresh. ZOOM BY won her first two starts before taking on a G3. Resumes off a trial placing. LE BEAU RENARD showed good promise at his maiden campaign recording a win and two seconds from three starts. Big market watch. SELECTIONS: #8 Archer's Paradox to win down in class off a first up placing with #1, #11 and #4 in exotics.

Moonee Valley: Race 4 @ 8:30pm

Kaimu, Esposito Gold and Adina Rose the pacesetters. BEETOBEE was a maiden winner at this course and distance last start. Up in grade on that outing and now gets Blinkers applied for the first time. ADINA ROSE has improved with each run this campaign. Was rolled as favourite when second at Mornington last start. Market expectations aside however, the run possessed merit. Should be at her peak fourth up and gets a senior rider aboard. BE INSTANT comes here off a maiden win at Pakenham. Oliver staying aboard a positive. SELECTIONS: Can back #5 Beetobee each way from #7 and #8.
