A Rippa Day For Tony Gollan

Monday, 3 December 2018: A stakes double featured amid another four-win haul by leading Brisbane trainer Tony Gollan at Doomben on Saturday.

Gollan flexed his summer muscle with a stakes double by Outback Barbie (Spirit Of Boom) and I’m A Rippa (Love Conquers Al) while exciting Zoustar colt Zoustyle kept his unbeaten record intact with a record breaking win in the Winning Rupert Plate.
The promising Unlikely Story (Star Witness) rounded out his quartet.
I’m A Rippa’s win in the G3 George Moore Stakes (1200m) reaffirmed his place among Brisbane’s best sprinters.
He was a two-time stakes winner last season in the G3 BRC Sprint and Listed Eye Liner Stakes plus a million dollar win in the Magic Milions QTIS Sprint at the Gold Coast, a race he may again aim for next month.
Gollan indicated that I'm A Rippa  had the Magic Millions Cup as another option after running in a sizzling 1:08.43.

He is likely to run next in the Listed Lough Neagh Stakes followed by the Buffering Stakes on December 29.
Purchased by Gollan for just $55,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale, the 5YO I'm A Rippa (Love Conquers All x Derippa by Seidnazar) has now won eight of his 29 starts and $1,166,757 prizemoney.
Derippa was served by Love Conquers All when the son of Mossman was standing in Queensland. He is now based at Sun Stud in Victoria.
I’m A Rippa is the only foal to race out of Derippa and is the only stakes winner in three generations of his family although his third dam County Royale (County) left 10 winners from 10 foals to race.
County Royal was a half-sister G3 winner St Rory (Rory's Jester).
A yearling half sister to I’m A Ripper by Foxwedge will be offered at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in January by Eureka Stud.
Spirit Of Boom filly Outback Barbie put her luckless spring campaign in Sydney behind her with a classy win the Listed Mode Stakes.
The $210,000 Magic Millions yearling has the $2 million Magic Millions Guineas as her summer target.
On her way Outback Barbie  may clash with Zoustyle in the Listed Gold Edition Plate.
Zoustyle , who isn’t Magic Millions eligible, will head for the G3 Vo Rogue Plate on December 29.
Zoustyle is now unbeaten in four starts after a winning the first leg of Brisbane’s summer three-year-old series which carries $500,000 bonus for any horse winning three legs.
"Zoustyle isn't a Magic Millions horse. Provided he pulls up well he will run in the Gold Edition Stakes on December 15,” said Gollan.
Unlikely Story  was purchased out of Haunui Farm’s 2016 New Zealand Bloodstock Select draft for $80,000 and has three career wins under his belt.
