No Change After Club Elections

Sunday, 2 December 2018: Australian Turf Club Directors Julia Ritchie and Phil Morley were re-elected to the ATC Board at the Annual General Meeting held at Rosehill Gardens on November 29.

Members voted at the AGM and by proxy to fill two of four club-appointed positions on the seven person Board.
Ritchie, who remains the ATC Vice-Chair, has been an ATC Director since 2015 after previously being an AJC director.
Morley, a director since 2016, and Ritchie were both elected to serve four-year terms.
The other candidates were Paul Bagnall, Brett Baker and Charlie Henry.
ATC Director and former chairman Laurie Macri was awarded Life Membership at the meeting.
Moonee Valley Racing Club’s Annual General Meeting was conducted on November 27.
The MVRC declared an operating profit of $2,481,000 for the year to July 31, 2018, which was a $3,551,000 improvement on the prior year’s loss of $1,070,000.
The result was boosted by the receipt of the first $5 million proceeds from the Club’s Master Plan project.
Committee members Don Casboult, John Blight and Jim Hogan retired in accordance with the Rules and offered themselves for re-election.
As no other members offered themselves for election the three committee members were elected unopposed.
However it was announced John Blight would step down from the role of Honorary Treasurer which he has held for seven years.
Adam Lennen will step into Honorary Treasurer position. Don Casboult remains Chairman and David Kobritz Vice Chairman.
