Thursday, 20 September 2018: Carzoff, winner of the Wyong and Newcastle Cups double at his last two starts, has been withdrawn from the ATC Metropolitan at Randwick on Saturday week.

Carzoff wins the Wyong Cup

The Chris Waller stable advised Racing NSW stewards that Carzoff  has been spelled, adding to the list of notable early withdrawals from the G1 Metropolitan (2400m).
The classy Godolphin import Avilius was heading the Metropolitan market until trainer James Cummings announced early this week that he would miss the race.
Avilius  will have his next start in Melbourne in the Bart Cummings at Flemington on October 6.
