Lim's Lightning

RACE 1

PRINCE FERDINAND (9) - Has the best recent form in the field. Powered home last time under Vlad Duric to win in Class 5. Been solid in that grade - Iskandar Rosman can tuck in from stall 11 and deliver late.

SAHABA (2) - Was up with the pace last time over 1600m. Now cuts back 400m - which is more suitable. Senior jockey John Powell on board from the inside draw. Improvement expected.

SECRET SQUIRREL (6) - Fair effort last time over 100m shorter. Has a better draw - needs to be in the front ranks to challenge.

THE GOLDEN GOAT (7) - Another on-pace horse that needs to conserve more energy for the finish. Daniel Moor can get the best out of this horse from wide draw.

RACE 2

BULL N RUM (3) - Knocking on the door with two good past runs. Wide draw should not be a problem for a horse that can stalk and hopefully deliver.

MACH (2) - Been building a nice portfolio of trials. Won last one in 61.36 seconds on September 4. Should be spot-on for his debut.

NO FUN NO GAIN (10) - Won last trial in 61.50 seconds. Good jockey booking, Daniel Moor for debut.

SOTHISTHEONE (4) - Key piece of form is two back. Hit the frame from a wide draw over C&D. Barend Vorster on board is a good positive.

RACE 3

MISS DUSTY (3) - Well-related mare who returns from a break to take on this race. Brings serious credentials to this affair and is well drawn for a forward showing fresh. Will take beating.

SUN PRINCEPS (6) - Handy performer who hasn't been far from the mark in recent times. Isn't ideally drawn but can be competitive at the business end with the right breaks. Contender.

KING OF WAR (10) - Rarely wins but is constantly knocking on the door. Needs luck from the awkward alley but will appreciate Daniel Moor staying aboard. Capable of figuring.

SUPER DENMAN (7) - Hard to knock on recent efforts. A repeat dose of his last start would see him figure in the mix. Needs luck from the wide alley but don't dismiss.

RACE 4

SUN GENERAL (3) - Performed well on debut. Will take significant benefit from his recent trial and certainly finds a suitable assignment to break through in Singapore. Expect bold showing.

GRAND KNIGHT (1) - Broke maiden status last start in impressive fashion. This race is harder but can threaten at the business end with a repeat dose. Ryan Curatolo retains the ride. So must be respected.

TURF PRINCESS (4) - Consistent mare who will appreciate the step back in trip for this assignment. Isn't ideally drawn but has the services of the leading rider Vlad Duric. Capable of figuring.

WARRIOR KING (12) - Hard to knock on recent efforts. Finds himself down in the weights and will appreciate the claim of apprentice jockey Lim Aun Kean. Don't ignore.

RACE 5

NEO'S CLASSIC (4) - Great performance last run. Fast finisher that nearly won from an inside draw. Benny Woodworth takes the ride and can deliver the gold medal.

POWERFUL AS WIND (7) - Seems to be better over turf than Polytrack. If he manages to translate the turf form to Polytrack, he has a chance on his July 20 race.

BRILLIANT ONE (1) - Dropped into Class 5 last time and ran well - beaten by under one length. Amirul Ismadi takes 2 kgs off - to give this horse a great chance in this field.

GRAND PARIS (12) - In a not very deep field - this horse has two significant Polytrack middle distance formlines recently. If it comes back to those runs - you can respect this horse.

RACE 6

BOLD THRUSTER (10) - Has looked the real deal in his recent wins (10 _ lengths cumulative) and should simply take the world of stopping here on the back of a trial win (61.23).

QUARTER BACK (7) - Ultra impressive when scoring over course and distance back in April and since then was far from disgraced in the 3YO Classic when fifth (10th in Guineas). He looked good in a recent trial (61.09) and he looks best of the rest in this field.

CHARGER (4) - Twice a course and distance winner and now returns to the turf for the first time in five runs. A good second last time out on the Polytrack and can certainly run a place here.

YULONG FAST STEED (9) - Likes a strong pace to aim at and can pick up some pieces at the business end.

RACE 7

LETITGO (4) - Ran a very nice race when second to the useful Dicton over course and distance last month in the Seristine Cup. Another effort like that will see him go very close in this.

LORD OF CLOUD (8) - Unproven over the mile but does have a little more class than a few of these and didn't shape at all badly over the 1100m last time out.

LIM'S ARCHER (3) - Won a trial recently (60.83) and is now rated back in the 60s and will race off 68 (same mark as when 3rd in the Group 3 Colonial Chief last December). If back to his best, he can figure here for the in-form Lee Freedman.

STAR EMPIRE (10) - Has shaped as if this trip would suit this Leticia Dragon-trained galloper (second over 1600m at Gosford last May at only run at the trip). Can go well.

RACE 8

LIM'S LIGHTNING (14) - Group 2 winning juvenile and looked very good in a recent trial when running 2nd, has just the 52.5kgs in this and would seems extremely well in at the weights, should take all the beating.

CLARTON TREASURE (4) - Course and distance winner on second start here in Singapore and has since run a good 2nd behind Enchanted Mister (giving 2.5kgs) should have a big say in this affair.

STAR EMPEROR (7) - Came from a long way back to score on first run in Singapore early last month and looks the type to continue to progress, now up in grade and wouldn't mind a soft track either.

MADE IN CHINA (6) - Largely consistent of late and from a good draw, he could well figure from the front.

RACE 9

HUMDINGER (3) - Experienced campaigner who is well credentialed for this affair. Steps back in trip and switches back to the turf. So must be respected. Major player.

BEBOP (5) - Yet to win here in Singapore but hasn't been far from the mark in recent times. Narrowly beaten last start and can certainly figure in the finish with a repeat dose.

BLACK QUAIL (1) - Consistent performer who has developed a handy record in relatively short career. Isn't ideally drawn but must be included stepping up to the 1400m. Consider.

MOLINEUX (2) - Hard to knock on recent efforts. Drawn wide out but gets the services of Vlad Duric, so must be respected. Capable of contending on best efforts.
