RACE 1
PRINCE FERDINAND (2) – No model of consistency, but his last-start second when down in class was encouraging. Commands respect on that form.
GENERAL CONATUS (6) – Getting on in years but is still competitive at this level. In his element here and can give this a shake.
THUNDER CAT (7) – Pulled some ground off the winner Rocket Fighter at his last run. May be able to settle a little closer from inside alley. Worth some thought.
SUN EMPIRE (4) – Pacy sort but has not been able to finish off his races of late. Will again have to do some work from wide alley, but he can still hang on for a place if he gets in with some cover in a handy spot.

RACE 2
STREET PARTY (11) – Finished third on debut behind Streetwise. Has since trialled well leading into this and is well drawn to figure. Expect bold showing.
NADEEM SAPPHIRE (5) – Has posted two minor placings in three career outings in which the form has been franked on all occasions. Isn’t ideally drawn but is capable of figuring with the right breaks.
TOP KNIGHT (12) – Trialled well leading into his debut effort where he finished fourth – only beaten 2.4 lengths. Has the upsides to improve but will need a master ride from Glen Boss from the wide gate.
CENTENARY DIAMOND (1) – Wasn’t beaten far on debut. Has since trialled and looks well placed in this affair. Must be included in the mix.

RACE 3
SUN ELIZABETH (5) – Has been knocking on the door in recent times. Switches from the turf to the Polytrack for this assignment and Olivier Placais sticks aboard. Gets the chance to break through.
ABSOLVIDO (1) – Lightly-raced and appears to have upsides. Was somewhat disappointing on the Polytrack surface for the first time last start, but finds a suitable task to make amends. Contender.
HIDDEN PROMISE (2) – Steps up to a suitable journey and leading jockey Vlad Duric goes aboard from the inside draw. Four-time career winner, so must be respected.
MR HOPKINS (7) – Certainly the fittest customer for this task which will take him a long way. Steps back to 1600m after having two 1800m runs under his belt. Must be included in the mix.

RACE 4
WILD BEE (2) – Yet to break through but has been knocking on the door. Has shown ability throughout career so far and appears to have upsides. Will take beating in this affair.
ACCUMULATION (3) – Returned from a break last start when he performed well finishing second. Will strip fitter for this outing and top jockey Vlad Duric stays aboard. Contender.
ELENA OF AVALOR (7) – Hard to knock on recent efforts. Hasn’t been far from the mark and finds another suitable task to run well. Will appreciate the claim of AK Lim.
YELLOW JADE HORSE (11) – Has been the model of consistency in recent times. Gets down in the weights and will appreciate the claim also. Comes from an in-form yard, so don’t ignore.

RACE 5
KING LOUIS (4) – Ultra-consistent performer who was runner-up in the Singapore Guineas. Has trialled well leading into this affair and is well drawn to figure. He will win bigger races than this one.
GOLD CITY (8) – Impossible to knock on recent outings. Appears to have further improvement still left in the tank and residual fitness will take her a long way. Serious contender.
SUPERNOVA (6) – Performed well last start when finishing runner-up over the same journey. Switches to the Polytrack for this assignment and is well in at the weights with the claim. Worth considering.
TARGET (1) – Switches back to the Polytrack surface where two recent wins have come from. Glen Boss sticks aboard for the in-form Daniel Meagher and must be included in this affair.

RACE 6
BULL N RUM (5) – Seems to handle Polytrack better. Improving sort who can get on the board.
VENUS DE MILO (10) – Has made significant headway but the wide gate will make her task harder. Still looks the goods for a place.
GOLDEN STATES (11) – Ran a much better race with winkers on at his last outing. Drawn off the track again. In fine fettle and is one horse to follow closely from now on.
GENERAL MARSHALL (4) – Did not run up to expectations at his last start. Flew home two runs back, but on turf. Stays on Polytrack. Can make amends.

RACE 7
ZAC KASA (7) – Exciting sprinter who has learned to settle a lot better now. It showed at his two barrier trials back from a let-up since his second to Lim’s Cruiser in the Lion City Cup in May. Can go well fresh-up and looks hard to beat, even from wide gate.
MOKASTAR (4) – Back in Kranji Stakes B company after handy win in a Class 2 race a month ago. Will appreciate three-kilo claim. In the mix for a long way.
AUTUMN RUSH (2) – Drops back to Kranji Stakes B company. Will be running home even if an inside barrier would have been better for him. Can finish in the first three.
AL GREEN (8) – Has struggled at a higher echelon. Will be more competitive here but will still have to be at his best to make his presence felt here.

RACE 8
LIM’S MAGIC (14) – Overcame heel issues to still run a super third to Jupiter Gold in the Singapore Derby. Coming off a much better prep this time. In rattling form and can take this first-up.
PREDITOR (2) – Sprang a mini upset in the Jumbo Jet Trophy. The mile is even more up his alley. Has trained on and won’t surprise if he makes it back-to-back wins.
MR CLINT (7) – Singapore Guineas victor who slipped unnoticed in the Jumbo Jet Trophy. Rider said the circumstances of the race didn’t suit him. Will appreciate the mile better. Has drawn an alley, which is not such a boost, though, as he is a horse who does not like to be boxed in on the fence. Still a factor, though.
ELITE EXCALIBUR (5) – Resuming after his disappointing effort in the Kranji Mile when figuring among the leading local hopes. Does not show much in his trackwork but his class can see him sneak into the minors here. Prefers to be on top of the ground.

RACE 9
ROCKET FIGHTER (5) – If he reproduces that emphatic win of his at his last run, he should be tough to run down here. Marble one. Big say.
SUN HANCOCK (9) – Ran above expectations at her first run from a nine-month spell. Needs more ground, but she can pop up if the pace is on. Gets on with Mohd Zaki like a house on fire. Include in calculations even if the second-up syndrome could be a pitfall.
SMART FORTUNE (1) – Did not finish that far behind at his last start over 1000m. Will relish extra 200m. Jumps from a handy barrier and might be the one in a stalking position. In the hunt.
STAR KING (3) – Still a maiden in 11 starts. Making slow headway, though. Fourth run from a layoff and should be fitter now. Can inject some value to your exotic bets.

RACE 10
PENNYWISE (3) – Handy performer who returns from a break. The winner of two from three where his only defeat came in the Group 2 Aushorse Golden Horseshoe (1200m). Certainly well credentialled for this assignment.
CROUCHING SUN (1) – Won impressively on debut. This assignment is tougher but has the upsides to go on with the job. Isn’t ideally drawn but gets Daniel Moor aboard.
MYSTIC PRIDE (2) – Comes into this contest after a last-start win. Appears ready to go fresh and is well drawn to contend with the claim of CS Chin. Must be respected.
SUN PRINCEPS (5) – Finished runner-up last start over the T/D. Alan Munro stays aboard and is capable of figuring with a repeat dose. In the mix.
