RACE 1

ATTENTION (4) – Trainer Cliff Brown has clearly found a very winnable race for his charge here. He was green when chasing his stablemate Mo Almighty (had experience) on his debut. Should be just too good for this field.

PADDINGTON (8) – Finished off well on debut over slightly further. Good draw and surface should suit nicely and can give Attention most to think about.

ASHHAB (3) – Just one run down the field at Penang last September and has now joined Donna Logan and has trialled very well in blinkers. An interesting runner.

KING COBRA (5) – Runner-up to Ashhab in that trial on August 7 and can improve on first run.

RACE 2

GOLDEN YEARS (6) – Trainer Michael Clements looks to have found a nice little race to start his colt off in. First and second in two trials. The son of Jimmy Choux looks ready to make a winning debut.

SIAM BLUE VANDA (9) – Stablemate of the selection and another to have trialled very nicely. Won a barrier trial in New Zealand and is a half-brother to three winners. Should go close.

GOOD LUCK CHARM (7) – Disappointing last time out, but has now trialled well (once in blinkers, left off here) since then and can go well from gate 1.

FULL LUCK (5) – Ran well at big odds on latest start and can add some value for exotics.

RACE 3

GLENGALLON (2) – Really good-looking type who was good enough to score on local debut in nice style. Likes to go forward and has the inside post position as well which is a big plus.

EFFORTLESS (1) – Now back in Class 4 having run some handy races in better company and the stable had four winners last Sunday. Should be seriously considered.

VERIZON (8) – Suffered nasty interference last time out when in the process of running very well. A trouble-free run here will see him to good effect.

GOOD CATCH (6) – An on-pace runner who went well when second for this inexperienced apprentice last time. One to include.

RACE 4

LORD OF LIGHT (4) – This looks an ideal opportunity for this son of Power to break the maiden tag having shown plenty of promise in two races on the turf already. Now tries Polytrack and can prove the one to beat.

WONDERFUL PAINT (7) – Placed in two New Zealand trials and went okay in his only trial so far in Singapore and wouldn’t have to be a superstar to figure.

SILVER SKY (1) – Rather exposed nowadays but ran well last time out in a Kranji D and if running to that form he will be in the mix.

BULL N RUM (11) – One to include for the multiples.

RACE 5

ANGHIARI (1) – Yet to win in 21 races here but would deserve to win one judged on his recent efforts.

SPUR ME ON (6) – Should be suited well by conditions and has been kept busy of late. Was staying on over 1000m last week.

SILENT ARROW (3) – Vlad Duric remains on board this fellow. Pacifiers added to the blinkers. Has decent form further back.

VENUS DE MILO (7) – Fair efforts of late, including over course and distance on most recent effort for a fourth. Include.

RACE 6

DRAGON GOLD (1) – Running well at present and was fancied last time but found a couple too good on the day, every chance in a very open race.

YELLOW JADE HORSE (6) – Only his second go at this trip and the booking of Olivier Placais would seem like a positive one. He can suit this horse.

THOTH WARRIOR (3) – Back in his right grade of race here. Watch the market for any vibes.

CASSIS OOLONG (7) – 1200m might have tested him last start and is better placed back over the minimum trip.

RACE 7

AUTUMN ASSAULT (3) – Would certainly look the most progressive in this field. Still lightly-raced and has trialled well since running down the field in the Aushorse. The one to beat.

GOLDEN FLAME (2) – A winner at Geelong on the all-weather over 1300m and his trial recently was very suggestive (under a tight hold up the straight). Very interesting to be pitched into this class of race on debut.

REACH FOR THE SUN (1) – Eight-year-old who is beginning to hit a bit of form of late, and although he has not won for a while, he is one to include.

LUCKY SIX (5) – Poor show last time out, but now has the services of Alysha Collett and can show better form for it.

RACE 8

RAFAELLO (6) – Two excellent runs in defeat lately. Won his trial in good time (60.56) with Royal Ruler in second. He can give a good account of himself.

SKYWALK (2) – Winner of the KRA Trophy last month in good fashion and absolutely adores the Polytrack, though the barrier is not a kind one in 12. He is classy and can overcome it with Michael Rodd taking the ride.

DISTINCTIVE DARCI (1) – Is the class act in the race having won the Group 2 Merlion Trophy in April. Ran second to the Singapore Derby winner Jupiter Gold most recently but has to carry a big weight of 59.5kgs here which won’t be easy from a bad barrier.

ROYAL RULER (8) – Had to do some work from a wide draw in the KRA Trophy to sit outside the leader at his last start. Was still in the mix 200m out only to weaken late to run sixth. Not without place claims.

RACE 9

ENCHANTED MISTER (7) – Beat a useful sort over course and distance on latest start and even though he has a wide draw, he looks the type to progress.

SPLINTER (5) – Turns out again quickly after running second only nine days ago behind Eye Guy (would have had a hard race) but the fact his trainer is happy to run again suggests he has no lasting effects of that effort and he should be taken seriously.

SUPER POWER (8) – Alan Munro doesn’t ride all that often for Ricardo Le Grange and he is a horse that has shown up well in trials of late and he does have plenty of talent.

WALKING THUNDER (2) – Good turf run last time out when seen second behind Tales of Summer, should get involved.
