RACE 1

KUBERA’S CHIEF (5) – Versatile sort who can lead or come from behind. Came from well off the pace to run second at his last start. Nice draw. Big show in store.

SUPERTEN (3) – Apprentice Syahir Abdul has done nothing wrong on this horse and deserves to get his break on him. This might be that winning turn.

ULTIMATE KILLER (12) – Surprised a few with his decisive turn of foot at his last start. On that run, he cannot be left out of calculations in this. In the mix for a long way.

AMISTAD (7) – Has been dropping back in his races, but scored his last three wins from start to finish. Draws an alley this time. May elect for frontrunning tactics again, in which case he may give some cheek.

RACE 2

TUN O’REILLY (5) – Screamed home but got there too late first-up from a four-month let-up. Looks in his element here. Bold run expected.

DIXIELAND ROCK (7) – Impressive debut winner as a two-year-old but who flopped at next two runs. Still learning his craft, but should find this easier. Can fill the minors.

MASTER OF MALIBU (1) – Has run a couple of good races but is not exactly the most reliable horse going around. Barrier trial win from last Wednesday restores some confidence back in him. Drops in grade. Form turnaround not beyond him in this.

ACROSS THE SEA (6) – Came from the rear to land the spoils last time out. Trip suits. Will be chiming home late again, but a place looks like a more realistic chance.

RACE 3

THOMAS DE LAGO (7) – Been racing like a changed horse since blinkers have been removed and a tongue-tie added. Commands respect.

HIGH LIMIT (3) – Back from a freshen-up. Last two runs have not been without some merit. Will be in an ideal stalking spot from barrier No 2. Fair say.

REIGN (2) – Spent force at the top of the straight last time out. Was caught wide and did not see out the 1400m. Back in trip and from good barrier, he should have a brighter chance here.

OL MATE BUZZER (8) – Never a factor at his last start when he chased the leader Sun Empire throughout. Ignore that run. Has drawn wide again. Place claims if he can lead without being too used up.

RACE 4

ABSOLVIDO (4) – Raced keenly at his last start and laid in badly in home straight. Could have finished closer without these problems. Lovely barrier. Should figure prominently.

JACKS SECRET (3) – Looked like a winner at his last run but Mings Man just touched him out. Tried over a variety of distances. Mile will suit.

HOOGA NET (6) – Tough customer who doesn’t shirk a fight. Looks bright and fit on the training tracks. Won’t be far behind when the whips are cracking.

TURF PRINCESS (2) – Honest mare but is reverting to Polytrack over which she ran only once without flattering. Wide barrier does not help her cause, but she remains a valuable contender in this class. Watch market for stable confidence.

RACE 5

DESTROYER ECLIPSE (1) – Flew home for second at his last start. Has been running on at recent starts and looks cherry-ripe for this. Hard to beat.

ARR FLAIR (6) – Can mix his form but at his best, he can account for this lot. Beat all but the promising D’Great Boss two runs back. Drawn off the track but it’s immaterial as he gets back. Keep safe.

SUN ARES (11) – Made a winning debut but in Open Maiden company a fortnight ago. This is a much sterner test, but he seems to have trained on. May sneak into the minors.

SOUTHERN DRAGON (3) – Showed an unexpected return to form at his last start. If he can reproduce that form, he will be dangerous in this.

RACE 6

SOUTHERN SPUR (4) – Better was expected from him at his last run. This is a shade easier. Blinker-pacifiers on. Will have to work a little harder from the wide alley, but he can still be backed with some confidence.

DICTON (5) – French stayer making slow headway. Drops back in trip and didn’t fare too badly over course and distance at only attempt. There is a race for him soon.

LIM’S ARCHER (3) – Raced in better company than this before. Did not stay over 2000m last time out. Has one win over 1600m on Polytrack. Marble one. Can bounce back to form.

CARNELIAN (11) – Up in grade but the field is not overly strong. No weight on her back. She may pinch a place with a bit of luck.

RACE 7

ELITE POWER (6) – Racing with consistency since his first Kranji win in a Class 3 race. Blinker-pacifiers on. Watch him steam home.

AUGUSTANO (2) – Resuming after creditable fourth in Group 3 Singapore Three-Year-Old Sprint (1200m). Loves the Polytrack and scored a ripping barrier trial win on August 7. Go close first-up.

YULONG FAST STEED (10) – Class 3 has been a different proposition but he has not been completely outclassed either. A case for a place can be made for him.

MY HORSE (7) – Bold frontrunner who will be right in the thick of the action if he gets his own way in front. But he is up against some smart sorts here and maybe a place looks a more likely result.

RACE 8

KING OF WAR (8) – Does not win often but has been hitting around the mark of late. Can take this if he gets the right breaks.

LONHRO GOLD (3) – Has the confidence on his side now that first win is out of the way. Faces stronger lot but can still hold his own.

HUNTING TOWER (1) – Creditable run on debut. Will strip fitter for this. In the firing line.

UNCLE LUCKY (5) – Gave some cheek by trying to make all last time out. Looks safely held again but from the low draw, he may again give the favourites something to worry about.
