SINGAPORE MEETING – 15 April 2018
RACE 1
BONJOUR BOB (8) – Is a fine example of a Class 5 horse really enjoying his racing right now and meets a few of the same rivals from that win last start. He would seemingly have every chance of confirming those placings.
SUN SEEKER (7) – Gave good chase to Bonjour Bob in the straight before finishing a sound 4th. He can put the most pressure on the selection here. Market watch.
GOLDEN COIN (1) – 3rd on April 1, He should once again run well as he has been doing in his last few outings.
GENERAL CONATUS (4) – Best of the rest.

RACE 2
ZAC ACE (5) – Lost on objection last start. Will be looking to make amends. Reverts to Polytrack which he handled well at only one attempt.
LIM’S RIPPLE (2) – Mile should suit him better. Blinker-pacifiers on. Should be able to follow closer to the pace this time. Each-way chance.
CHAIRMAN WIND (9) – A little out of his depth in Class 4 but is not the worst here. With some luck, he can pinch a place in this.
PANACHE (4) – Mixes his form and is not the most reliable customer. Beaten only half-a-length by Black Swan three runs back. Don’t write him off.

RACE 3
I’VE GOT A FEELING (2) – From barrier No 1, he will enjoy a smooth run in transit before staking his claim in home straight. Must have in exotics.
BENGAL LANCER (5) – Has trialled fairly and is not without a place chance on debut.
DINGHU MOUNTAIN (1) – Makes debut for new owners. Looked in fine fettle at his barrier trials. Can go well fresh.
UNCONQUERED (6) – Battling to make his mark in Class 3. Might be better off in easier company but can still pinch a place here.

RACE 4
RACE FOR FAME (3) – Flew home for third second-up. Will appreciate the extra 200m. Big say.
POWERFUL AS WIND (6) – Gave some sight when he kicked clear at the top of the straight last time out. Has drawn in and will probably dictate terms. Catch-me-if-you-can tactics on the cards.
MUSCULAR CAPTAIN (4) – Does not win often but his latest efforts suggest he is not far off another one. Will be thereabouts when the whips are cracking.
TOOBIGTOFAIL (8) – Has had five runs for new yard and has not done too badly. Blinkers off. Prefer others but he may pinch a place.

RACE 5
IMPERIUM (5) – 3rd to Lord O’Reilly last time out on turf (Zac Kasa 2nd) in a decent little Novice event and was working home very nicely. Back for another go on the Polytrack and can prove good enough to score.
SATTAR (7) – Can make it a 1-2 in this for the current 2018 leading trainer Michael Clements. A winner when last seen, he ran through the line well and can give his stablemate most to think about.
ARC TRIUMPH (4) – On the face of it was disappointing when only 3rd behind Best Wishes, but My Horse was 2nd that night and has won since. So the form is not too bad and the James Peters-trained galloper should have a part to play.
COME AND TAKE ALL (6) – Form of his Restricted Maiden win has worked out well. Last time he was awkward into stride and couldn’t lead and had to race wide throughout, a better showing is quite possible this time.

RACE 6
YULONG XIONG HU (8) – Chased home a smart 3yo (King Louis) last time out and is a very interesting runner here with just the 52kg on his back.
LIM’S SHOT (3) – Beat a handy field in a trial last week (60.09). Although somewhat unproven at the mile, it is well worth including him here.
MAXIMUS (1) – In wonderful form at present and should run another decent race here but the weight is a huge concern with 59.5kg. Place chance.
SANDTOP (7) – Dropped a further two points from last week’s 5th place finish (finished off okay) and might just be the type to now keep on the right side of.

RACE 7
DISTINCTIVE DARCI (2) – Bounced back to winning form last time. Drawn awkwardly, but if enjoys some cover in midfield, he can still finish over the top of these.
AUTUMN RUSH (11) – Give him another chance. Was caught wide last time and did not have the same kick. Drawn better in No 2 this time and will have no weight on his back. Can redeem himself.
GRAND CROSS (6) – Lost no marks at his last outing when third to Super Fortune over 1200m. Never scored over 1000m. Wide alley puts a dampener but he can still drop back and run home late.
RAISE NO DOUBT (7) – Came off an ideal ground-saving run on the rails to return to winning ways at odds last start, first-up from a freshen-up. Fought on gamely to stave off all comers on that day. No reason why he cannot reproduce the same form here.

RACE 8
RUM N RAISINS (5) – Again finished off strongly last time and it is surely just a matter of time before he can land another win. Big player.
MONTAIGNE (1) – Battled hard last time out when just outpointed by Curvature. Can atone for that defeat in this.
SACRED SURFER (7) – Dropping back in trip might just suit this frontrunner and he is unexposed on the surface.
GALILEO’S APPROACH (9) – Pace angle in this. Should run a nice race.
