Friday, 9 March 2018: Form previews for Kranji Friday March 9

Super Fortune
Super Fortune

RACE 1
GOLDEN COIN (1) – Still yet to win but was in a great scrap last start and only just lost it on the post. Deserves a win.
BONJOUR BOB (7) – A race that doesn’t have a whole heap of depth to it and he runs well in these types of affairs.
CASSIS OOLONG (9) – Improved effort last time when being allowed to roll in front with Mohd Zaki. Similar effort would see him there.
SUCCESS COME TRUE (2) – Carried some support in the market last start, has a better draw to work with this time round.

RACE 2
GOOD CATCH (5) – Fought hard but had to give 4.5kgs to the winner last time when just beaten. Nice type and it is just a matter of time before he breaks through.
WILD BEE (2) – Almost pegged back the winner last time when handing up the lead in the middle stages. Quiet recent trial and will have blinkers on here.
TURF PRINCESS (10) – Blew the start at first trial but improved at next trial with blinkers. She is a half-sister to the former smart sprinter My Lucky Strike. Big Watch.
CROWN GIFT (1) – Finished in the runner-up spot last start after a terrible run in transit the start prior. Well drawn and should be in the finish.

RACE 3
MR EXCHEQUER (3) – Mile specialist who should be at home over 1800m, too. Inside barrier is a plus.

PUSAKA (2) – Let down nicely second-up from a short break. Drops back in trip. Chances enhanced if the speed is on.

SAHARA EAGLE (5) – Blinkers come off. Never came close to his stellar debut win at next two starts. Looks okay on the training tracks.

MARVEL HERO (6) – Scraped home last time out. Tackles stronger lot and the 1800m for the first time. Each-way chance.

RACE 4
INTROIT (1) – Completely castled two back when supported and had a bad barrier last start. A good run still and worth a look again.
ACE HARBOUR (3) – Ended his run of second placings last start when he never seemed to be travelling at all in the run.
FORESTO (4) – Another third next to his name, has looked the winner on a couple of occasions now, must strike soon.
ELITE KINGDOM (5) – Beaten last start at $29 and was pretty disappointing – would be worth considering again.

RACE 5
CLASSIC (2) – Last-start maiden winner at short odds, form had been sound enough prior to that win. Could go on with it.
GOL GOAL (3) – Ran a very good race last time out when he was seen making ground from the rear. Definitely include.
NEPEAN (4) – Much improved effort last start second-up in Singapore, will be an improver again and watch for market vibes.
MAGIC WAND (9) – Runner-up last start 2L behind Stunning Cat. He has since placed second in a trial. Must be kept safe.

RACE 6
SUPER FORTUNE (4) – Beaten favourite last start who has won a trial since, should go very close on recent form.
TANNHAUSER (5) – Back in the winning groove last start, showed he isn’t just a Polytrack horse, toughest task to date here.
DRACO (7) – Quality horse who hasn’t done a lot wrong in his career. Had a few traffic issues last start, was running on late.
GOLDEN SWORD (9) – First run back on turf since 2016 but does handle it, comes into this after being freshened. Watch.

RACE 7
COULD BE PEARLS (1) – Resumes for the first time in 2018 and he wasn’t beaten far in a recent trial. Will improve, follow.
LIM’S RACER (2) – She got the victory last start and they have given her time to get over that. Rises 7kgs from that effort.
BE BEE (3) – Was beaten by Lim’s Racer last start but is better off at the weights this time round. Must be respected.
MACARTHUR (4) – Second in a recent trial and looked good. He was never a winning hope last start after missing the kick.

RACE 8
NOVA CLASSIC (1) – Lined up in a stronger race last time after winning an Open Maiden contest. Place prospect.
TEMBUSU ESTRELA (4) – Has been there or thereabouts recently, has really turned the corner in the last 9 months. Watch.
PARAGON STAR (6) – Close up last time to the races, rider also lost the whip at the 200m and was beaten by stablemate.
LAND BELOW D WIND (11) – Last start winner who was given a good ride, he stays on board with a real light weight, chance.
