Whistling Win

Race 1

Selections; 1 LITTLE MASTER - 4 PARAGON STAR - 3 NINETYSEVENEMPEROR - 6 DREAMER LEGEND
PARAGON STAR took a while to break his maiden status - 15 starts to be precise - but the 4YO gelding won well enough to think he can win again in a field that lacks depth. True, the maiden field he faced on that occasion was nothing to get excited about but he certainly showed enough to follow with the in-form R Woodworth retaining the ride. But watch out for LITTLE MASTER back in suitable company. The 3YO dead-heated on debut before finding Novice Company too big an ask at his next two starts but he has always found the line well enough to think 1400m in this field is winnable with Duric a factor. NINETYSEVENEMPEROR looks the other winning hope after showing a return to form last start in a similar affair with DREAMER LEGEND, LAUGHING BUFFALO and last start winner, SUN EMPIRE, others to include in exotics. Betting Strategy - LITTLE MASTER win.

Race 2
Selections; 2 GLAMOROUS - 1 CROWN GIFT - 6 COME AND TAKE ALL - 5 BEAUTIFUL DAY
A small field but a minefield for punters with most having a winning chance and at least three that could start favourite. Ergo, the tote will be a good guide but as it stands GLAMOROUS with blinkers added could be hardest to beat. The 3YO also gets the services of V Duric and, given what he showed late last start under apprentice Y Salim, the switch back to a senior hoop off the back of a good trial suggests he goes very close. CROWN GIFT and BEAUTIFUL DAY are the two others that could start favourite. CROWN GIFT was never involved from a wide gate last start with heavy support and worth another look while BEAUTIFUL DAY did it tough on debut when placing and looks a horse to follow. Most others can finish in the mix with COME AND TAKE ALL a value option with blinkers added. Betting Strategy - GLAMOROUS win.

Race 3
Selections; 3 ZA'EEM - 1 NEPEAN - 2 SUPER TYCOON - 6 RED CLAW
Another extremely tricky race for punters with a last start maiden winner in ZA'EEM likely to start favourite but a winning case can be made for most others. But ZA'EEM looks a handy type and while he has changed stables after that win and jumps from gate 11 with blinkers removed, he can win this. As mentioned the race has plenty of depth and it may pay to take a value option with NEPEAN a likely improver. The former Australian was disappointing at his Singapore debut (with support) but this trip suits and he could easily show up on his best Aussie form. A blanket over SUPER TYCOON, HANGMAN, RED CLAW, TAICHI BELT and RIVER GOLDEN who can all win while a tote watch is the order of the day for a newcomer from Australian, YULONG XIONG HU. Betting Strategy - NEPEAN each-way.

Race 4
Selections; 5 ELITE KINGDOM - 3 MOUNT - 1 CLASSIC - 8 KEY ON KODIAC
While his form may not read as good as some of the other maidens in this field, ELITE KINGDOM could be ready to win. The 3YO is yet to place from six career starts but has shown glimpses against the bias at his last couple and with Vlad Duric on a course (C) that will suit, he can win at hopefully nice odds. The obvious picks are CLASSIC and MOUNT who both showed more than enough when resuming to think they win a race like this sooner than later and the pair are likely to come in for heavy support. KEY ON KODIAC resuming and the honest enough SORBETTA the only two others to include in exotics. Betting Strategy - ELITE KINGDOM each-way.

Race 5
Selections; 7 MR HANKS - 2 BE BEE - 1 WEBSTER - 4 LIM'S RACER
A cracking race and one could be forgiven for thinking it's a feature rather than a Class 3 with no less than three Group winners in the nine horse field. All three added a Group race to their CV's as 2YO's with BE BEE and LIM’S RACER winning the Golden Horseshoe in 2017 and 2016 respectively and MR HANKS winning the Juvenile Championship in 2017. And to be honest, you could make a case for all three with BE BEE getting blinkers added to his gear, LIM'S RACER coming off a good first up run when doing it tough and MR HANKS resuming sans blinkers after his Group win. Throw the smart WEBSTER into the winning mix - and he could be the value option - with NORTHERN SUN, ALAMOSA EXPRESS and LIM'S REFORM (at odds) all in the exotic mix.

Race 6
Selections; 6 DRACO - 1 VIVIANO - 5 NOVA MISSILE - 9 LIM'S SHOT
Another very good race on what should have been an entertaining evening of racing and with early pace expected, DRACO and fellow swooper VIVIANO have to be considered. DRACO in particular looks suited here and G Boss will be in no rush from gate 6 to settle him where comfortable and, given what he showed last start, he will be hard to hold out late. VIVIAN will also be a big show if the race is set up for back markers and should be the better value option. The pace may come from either LIM'S SHOT who should go forward from the wide gate or NOVA MISSILE who is in very good form and gets the favours from gate one so can win. Last start winner, AL GREEN, can win again without surprising and go even wider in exotics. Betting Strategy - DRACO win, saver on VIVIANO.

Race 7
Selections; 1 HIDDEN PROMISE - 4 HERACLES - 2 THE CAPITAL - 5 MOMENT OF JUSTICE
The quality of the racing continues late into the card with another very good Class 3 field heading to the start. This time it's over a mile but once again there looks plenty of serious winning hopes including the two top weights - HIDDEN PROMISE and THE CAPITAL. Both come into this with last start placings under their belts and while THE CAPITAL will appreciate setting up to the mile, HIDDEN PROMISE very much appreciates being back on the turf over his best trip and will be hard to hold out. There is value about with HERACLES having excuses for two recent unplaced runs and looks suited here while MOMENT OF JUSTICE could be some show at very long odds on what he showed late last start. SUPER POWER gunning for a hat trick picks himself while LIM'S REGARD is always an each-way hope. Betting Strategy - HIDDEN PROMISE win, saver on the stable mate, MOMENT OF JUSTICE, at long odds.

Race 8
Selections; 5 WHISTLING WIN - 3 TURF BEAUTY - 4 STOCK BROKER - 1 PURE JUSTICE
Just a fair finish to the eight-race card and hopefully WHISTLING WIND can send punters home happy. The now 3YO won as a 2YO on debut before struggling at his next four starts. A spell, a snip and another win with support suggests he is better than most of these and he should be hard to beat with J Powell retaining the winning ride. Nothing jumps off the page to beat him although STOCK BROKER is better than what he showed last start and can win on best form while SURE WIN and DASH both have speed and can figure. Of the rest, PURE JUSTICE could make his presence felt late in company that suits with V Duric a factor while TURF BEAUTY looks the best of the two newcomers and should figure on trial form. Betting Strategy - WHISTLING WIN, win.
