Sydney Thunder skipper Shane Watson has won the toss at the MCG and elected to bowl first in Saturday evening's BBL clash with the Melbourne Stars.

Seb Gotch and Liam Bowe return for the Stars who are looking to climb off the bottom of the table with a second win of a disappointing season.

The Thunder slumped to seventh with their loss to cross-town rivals the Sydney Sixers, but they named an unchanged line-up.
