Race 1
Selections; 6 AEOLUS - 4 GIORGIO - 3 THE ONE - 1 HERO IN THE WIND
An ordinary group of Class 5 battlers open the programme. AEOLUS is a 17 start Maiden who had traffic issues last start before running on very well to be a good thing beaten. He handles the Poly and gets his chance with R Curatolo up. GIORGIO has won on the poly and placed over this trip two starts back; he can improve on his effort when resuming and with the in-form Troy See up, should be handy throughout. THE ONE won over 1600m here four starts back and his recent trial was strong; he is awkwardly drawn but this company suits and he could be running on. Of the rest, HERO IN THE WIND is a Maiden yet to place in nine starts but his best efforts have been at this trip, SPIRIT SEVEN should be running on while GRAND PARIS and MONGOLIAN CHIEF are suited by the distance. Betting strategy - Play with caution, AEOLUS gets a chance to win.

Race 2
Selections; 8 MOST FAVORITE - 3 AMANZOE - 4 HUN YEANG ROAD - 11 WORKAHOLIC
An interesting Maiden with some that have shown recent promise plus others resuming and a number of first starters with solid trials under their belt - the market may be the best guide. On revealed form AMANZOE had support and just missed when debuting from a wide gate; he is poorly drawn again but with Vlad Duric to ride should be prominent and may have a fitness edge. HUN YEANG ROAD is resuming and has been trialling well and LUCKY MASTER showed promise at his 2YO debut and has also been trialling well. In addition, there are several well-bred newcomers who have been trialling well, most notably MOST FAVOURITE although IMPERIUM and LARSON also look good enough to win on debut. Betting strategy - watch market on newcomers, MOST FAVOURITE each-way.

Race 3
Selections; 1 OCEAN GENERAL - 2 ARION - 4 HONOR - 5 SATELLITE MASTER
A moderate field with most more comfortable in Class 5. The exception may be OCEAN GENERAL who has changed stables. The 7YO is consistent, suited by this company and will be prominent throughout and should be hard to beat. ARION is resuming with blinker pacifiers and his trial was solid; he won a Class 5 over 1000m two starts back and should be prominent from the good gate. HONOR's also gets blinkers on the back of a good trail; his only win was in Class 5 over 1000m but he could show up in this ordinary field. Of the others, SING ROULETTE has speed and placed in Class 5 before the Xmas break as did SATELLITE MASTER whose recent trial was sound and he could be running on. For the exotics SNIP looked to have something in hand last start and will be odds. Betting strategy - OCEAN GENERAL to win.

Race 4
Selections; 8 PARAGON STAR - 1 EVIL WESLEY - 2 ABLE PINS - 10 ROCKET FIGHTER
Another very weak Maiden with few having any worthwhile form. PARAGON STAR disappointed last outing when hampered at the start and racing wide, however, his previous effort over 1400m was sound and with Benny Woodworth back on he could be handy throughout. ABLE PINS battled on when resuming on poly and should be improved; he is well drawn and should be prominent. The interesting runner is EVIL WESLEY who was trained by Peter and Paul Snowden. He ran in good company in Australia and placed at Gosford over 1000m at his most recent start; he has not shown up in trials but his NSW form would be good enough for this. Of the rest, ROCKET FIGHTER is yet to place in 10 starts but was not far away over 1400m at his most recent starts and market best guide on the rest. Betting strategy - Market watch on EVIL WESLEY, PARAGON STAR each way.

Race 5
Selections; 1 PAPARAZZI - 6 CHARGER - 2 OTTAWA - 4 LIM'S PERSHING
A small Novice field but with some interesting runners. CHARGER is resuming after showing plenty of promise as a 2YO. He has been trialling well and can show up for Michael Rodd. The challenges will come from the older horses, most notably PAPARAZZI who was a beaten favourite but fought on well in Class 4 over 1400m last start; he trialled well recently and with blinkers on should be hard to hold out. OTTAWA is resuming and his most recent trial was sound; he ran on well over 1400m in this class last start and could be hard to hold off. Of the others LIM'S PERSHING disappointed last start but his previous form was sound while LITTLE MASTER won a Maiden two starts back over this trip. Betting strategy – PAPARAZZI/CHARGER swinger.

Race 6
Selections; 1 HOT GOLD - 2 LAND BELOW D WIND - 7 POP GEMS - 11 ZAHIR
Another average group of Class 5 horses do battle over 1400m. HOT GOLD has been battling on the poly since a change of stable but has a good record over this trip and can show up with Michael Rodd to ride. LAND BELOW D WIND ran on solidly over this distance last start, the claim helps and he could be hard to hold off. POP GEMS improved to place in a similar race last start and from his good draw he can be handy. The value might come with ZAHIR who will enjoy getting back on turf and won over 1600m three starts back; he can show up with no weight. There are plenty of other chances with SUPER DAN, SUPER EIGHT and even last start winner BIG REGARDS all capable of showing up in this class over 1400m. Betting strategy - HOT GOLD has the best credentials.

Race 7
Selections; 2 GRAND CROSS - 1 CONSTANT JUSTICE - 3 WONDERFUL - 6 NOVA MISSILE
A good Kranji Stakes B brings CONSTANT JUSTICE and GRAND CROSS together again. GRAND CROSS was narrowly beaten by CONSTANT JUSTICE last start over 1100m and, with the claim for Noh Senari, meets him 3kg better; he should hard to run down again. CONSTANT JUSTICE is suited by this distance, he trialled well and with Vlad Duric to ride should be prominent throughout. Of the rest, two horse resuming in WONDERFUL and NOVA MISSILE could show up. Both have trialled well, have first up form and WONDERFUL also gets blinkers and a claim. SIR ISAAC was running on well in Class 3 before the Xmas break and pay to keep safe on the back of a good recent trial. Betting strategy - GRAND CROSS to win, saver on WONDERFUL.

Race 8
Selections; 4 MR CLINT - 3 MAGIC WAND - 8 SOUTHERN GLORY - 2 COUNTRY WARRIOR
MR CLINT was beaten as the even money favourite last start but happy to think this progressive 3YO can bounce back and win today. In his favour is the step up to 1400m and blinkers won't hurt with C Grylls to ride. The field has depth though and MAGIC WAND will have admirers after showing last start that his poor run prior was an anomaly while SOUTHERN GLORY and COUNTRY WARRIOR both have their foot on the till and can win. Keep an eye on the newcomer from Australia - BATTLE SUN - as his only win was over 1300m and his local trials suggests he has something to offer at his Singapore debut while TUN O'REILLY could be one to watch at value. Betting Strategy - MR CLINT win.

Race 9
Selections; 4 TANNHAUSER - 6 DEIMOS - 9 DREAM COMES TRUE - 10 CRAZY DREAMS
Good horses make for good racing and TANNHAUSER will ensure this race is a beauty. The 4YO made an inauspicious race debut on the turf where he raced greenly and was unplaced before striking together four straight wins on the Poly - his maiden by some nine lengths! He is the obvious choice here and while the likes of DEIMOS, DREAM COMES TRUE and CRAZY DREAMS are all in very good form and keep the favourite honest, TANNHAUSER is the horse to beat. Obviously DEIMOS coming off back-to-back wins has to be the danger and may even provide value and you may want to go even wider in exotics. Betting Strategy - TANNHAUSER win.

Race 10
Selections; 7 FIGHTING WARRIOR - 2 TAICHI BELT - 3 TEMBUSU ESTRELA - 5 HAPPY BABY
An interesting Class 4 over 1400m with a few of the fancies coming off runs that were better than they look in the book considering they were against the bias on a leaders track. Case in point is FIGHTING WARRIOR who placed behind SUN EMPIRE and given the circumstances from the wide gate on that occasion, he goes close here from barrier 2. HAPPY BABY and MAJULAH both fit into the same category and will improve on this track. TAICHI BELT and ex-stablemate, TEMBUSU ESTRELA, are also winning hopes in what could be a busy finish. Betting Strategy - FIGHTING WARRIOR each-way.

Race 11
Selections; 1 YULONG FAST STEED - 9 GREAT SEVEN - 3 MY GOLD - 7 ROYAL GUARD
Plenty of good form in this this Class 4 sprint with no less than three last start winners and a handy type resuming. But it may be the ex-Irish sprinter in YULONG FAST STEED who is hardest to beat. The 4YO was supported when placing at his Singapore debut and with natural improvement expected, he can win. Of the last start winners, SPECIAL RAIN won at odds in this Company while MY GOLD and GREAT SEVEN both come off impressive maiden wins and look up to this grade. ROYAL GUARD is the handy type resuming and his good recent trial suggests he can knock in his first Singapore win. Betting Strategy - YULONG FAST STEED win.
