Mr Scorsese
Mr Scorsese

RACE 1
ALARANCH (1) – She picked up two wins towards the middle of last year in Class 5 1000m, can figure in this type of race. Barrier concerns.
AUSPICIOUS ACE (3) – Had been well backed in a few of his runs last year but couldn’t quite do the job, also take on trust.
POMP (7) – Finally broke through towards the end of last year in Class 5, had been just mediocre prior, take on trust. Can win
TURQUOISE SON (8) – Never ran out of the money in his starts from August last year so he looks to be a quartet must in this line-up

RACE 2
AUSPICIOUS DAY (1) – A win looks to be coming sooner rather than later, beaten favourite last start by a nice type.
KRANJI GOLD (6) – Has run third and fourth in both runs to date. Recent trial winner with the blinkers on. Definite hope.
PER INCHARGE (8) - Very good effort last start, really fought hard. Winkers go on and that should see him be right there from gate one
SKYDANCE ECLIPSE (10) – Made up good ground on debut from near last, could be an improver with that experience.

RACE 3
TURF CHAMPION (1) – He has placed fourth in both runs to date, meets a race which is not strong and a winning hope.
DANZEB (2) – Has only one win next to his name form 13 runs but in this line-up you would say he is a place hope.
PRINCE DARCI (5) – Went round at a big price on New Year’s Day, made good ground on Poly, better suited to turf going.
DANGER ZONE (7) – He had been relatively consistent up until last start, slight freshen-up should see him there at the end.

RACE 4
WAITAHANUI (12) – Drawn beautifully and will strip fitter after excellent debut performance on the Polytrack.
SATELLITE KINGDOM (11) – Has been trialing strongly for debut. Big watch on the market here.
PURE SPARK (9) – Was heavily backed at his first outing and beat all but one home. The wide draw makes it tough here but he looks promising.
LIBECCIO (1) – Struggles to win but rarely runs a shocker and rates a quartet hope.

RACE 5
GALAXY EXPRESS (1) – In the market plenty of times in his last few runs, just hasn’t quite been able to get over the line.
PRECIOUS GEM (3) – Hasn’t won since November 2015, he has raced in better fields than this and is one to watch here.
POWERFUL AS WIND (4) – Is another one in this line-up who has seen support with a senior jockey on, watch the market.
DRAGON (8) – He is a hit-and-miss type who has never been able to win in twelve starts at this distance but has five placings.

RACE 6
BE BEE (2) – Top 2yo and Group 2 winner. Unbeaten in two on Polytrack and did win a trial recently, should take all the beating here.
GOLDEN SWORD (1) – Classy type who is yet to taste defeat in three Polytrack outings, second run back after a year’s absence, should go very close.
AUGUSTANO (6) – Now with Lee Freedman. This return to Polytrack is a big plus and was only just collared in a recent trial.
LIM’S RACER (4) – Pacey sort who has trialled nicely of late and stable are in very good form.

RACE 7
MR SCORSESE (1) – Top weight in the race with 59.5kgs, has had two trials in preparation, looks a definite chance.
MIGHTY EMPEROR (3) – Drops back to 1600m from 2000m in same grade, drawn outside gate, hasn’t raced this trip since July. Fair trial.
TERMS OF REFERENCE (5) – A recent trial winner who is more known for his Polytrack form rather than his turf runs.
BLACK SWAN (6) – A horse that has really turned the corner since winning and faces his toughest task to date.

RACE 8
DRACO (1) – In-form horse who has won and placed second twice in his past three runs. Third in recent trial was good, wide gate concerns.
MR LUCK (2) - Recent trial was strong enough to suggest a bold showing is possible, would prefer 1000m however.
ELITE POWER (3) – Good first run in Singapore when placed second behind Be Bee. Should be a definite improver in this.
NOWYOUSEE (5) – Very talented horse who is unbeaten in two runs. Huge trial win last week by 8.5L in quick time 59.51.

RACE 9
NAPEAN (2) – First starter who has form in Sydney 4:1-0-1, gelded since and has looked okay in his two Singapore trials.
STOCK BROKER (3) – Raced in some nice Class 4 races and hit a real purple patch mid-2017, maybe more suited to 1000m.
LIM’S BLAST (4) – Recent trial winner who has prior winning from over 1100m from October last year, is drawn wide here.
BAFFERT (5) – Has gone around well enough fancied in both runs, won a trial last week with blinkers on in 60.33.
