According to Suns’ coach Stuart Dew, he looks forward to deploying Hanley again after the layoff as the player makes good progress in comeback from injury in the short term.
Raising a question mark on the first-round play, the Gaelic midfielder broke his hand in November in Adelaide playing against Australia in the AFL international series opener but has been on the fast track to recovery since then.
Although Hanley was ready for play before Christmas, the club took the safer option of reinstating him following the break.
Hanley who has played 10 seasons of AFL shapes as one of Dew's go-to senior players with the absence of Gary Ablett.
According to Dew, with good decision making and hand to foot skills, Hanley has top mentality towards playing the game and he looks forward to the play of this experienced campaigner who has returned to good form and condition.
