Genia has first run with Rebels rugby

Thursday, 11 January 2018: Veteran halfback Will Genia says the Rebels must gel quickly to maximise the Test talent in their Super Rugby squad.

Wallabies halfback Will Genia has hit the training paddock for the first time with his new Super Rugby club the Melbourne Rebels, admitting he's off the pace after a long break.

Genia had a six-week holiday after the Wallabies spring tour and says he has work to do to catch his Melbourne teammates.

The veteran No.9 says there will be expectation both externally and internally on the under-performing Rebels, who have recruited a host of Wallabies from the defunct Western Force.
