Cam Smith eyes a Masters invitation after PGA tour Victory

The winner at the Australian PGA Championship, Smith is ranked No.61 in the world but needs to break into the top 50 to earn a ticket to Augusta National in April.
Smith who made his Masters debut in 2016 is brimming with confidence admitting that he is in his highest game ready mode.
Winning both his tournaments in play offs last year under pressure, Smith is confident of handling obstacles in the final rounds of the game.
Smith's breakthrough US PGA Tour victory did not come with an automatic Masters berth, which are awarded to winners of most tournaments on the US circuit but the Florida-based Brisbane native is positive of a spot in the first major of 2018.
According to Smith after moving to Augusta in 2016 and winning a PGA Tour title his ambition has been to play towards a Masters title.
Helping Smith’s charge is this week's Tournament of Champions in Hawaii, a no-cut event at Kapalua's Plantation course on Maui with a 30-man elite field featuring last season’s winners.
Smith is expected to play five of the next seven PGA tour events at the West Coast of the US to give him every chance of improving his rankings.
