According to him Australia can lose this Ashes series only if one of their four strike bowlers give way during the tournament.
Whilst being a fan of the No. 6 batsman Shaun Marsh, Clarke is of the opinion that inclusion of an allrounder will take some workload off the main strike bowlers and Nathan Lyon.
Clarke is also of the opinion that the team will benefit from the inclusion of and all-rounder at No. 6 which will strengthen the retention period of the main bowlers throughout the Ashes series.
Although Jackson Bird and Chadd Sayers can play back up roles to the three main quicks the continuation of the main bowlers through the series is vital to apply pressure on the opposition said Clarke.
Clarke was also of strong opinion about current No. 6 Shaun Marsh as a stable and in form bat with top ability on the field.
