THE KEY PLAYER

Sydney FC - Adrian Mierzejewski

Graham Arnold says his star winger may start after recovering from a hamstring injury and surviving a 25-minute cameo against Newcastle on Saturday. Should the Polish import be ready his fluid playmaking will be tough to contain.

Adelaide United - Daniel Adlung

Fresh off last week's wonder-strike against Central Coast, the tough-tackling German midfielder is the brawn to Isaias' technical savvy in central midfield and will be out to win battles before the ball gets to Sydney's frontline.

KEY MATCH-UPS

Bobo v Jordan Elsey

Sydney FC's marquee striker is in form and on target, having notched his fifth A-League goal this season along with an assist against the Jets in perhaps his strongest display yet. Youngster Elsey will have his hands full at the heart of defence to stop the Brazilian and his attacking entourage.

Josh Brillante v Isaias

One of the league's genuine running machines, Brillante boasts a league-high 433 passes and a passing accuracy of 82 per cent. While that outdoes his Reds counterpart, Isaias is an expert foul-winner and, with added technical flair, has created just two less chances than Milos Ninkovic this season.
