Clarry Conners  has trained the winners of four Golden Slippers but is always on the look-out for the next one.

He's not sure if Capitulate  will get there in March but he is keen to see what he can do this weekend.

The colt is one of 10 entries taken on Monday for the $150,000 Golden Gift (1100m) at Rosehill and has also been nominated for a $30,000 race at Gosford.

Before his trainer decides where he will make his debut, Capitulate will have his second barrier trial at Warwick Farm on Tuesday.

"He has to have a gallop anyway so we will give him a trial and then decide where to run him," Conners said.

"He's a really nice big colt but he's a bit dopey. He's still learning what it's all about."

Capitulate ran third, a half length behind Paquirri , in his first trial earlier this month.

The Gary Moore -trained Paquirri will head to Victoria on Saturday for the Magic Millions Clockwise Classic.

Raced by Mark Sowerby, Capitulate is by Star Witness out of unraced Octagonal mare Exhibit who is a half sister to Group One Myer Classic winner Bonaria .

Conners  also trains Turmoil for Sowerby with the filly to have her third trial on Tuesday.

The Gary Portelli -trained Secret Lady  and Sugar Sizzle , trained by Angela Plumb on the Gold Coast, are both among the eight entries for the two-year-old handicap at Doomben on Saturday as well as the Golden Gift.

Secret Lady already has race experience, running second on debut to Godolphin colt Dynamited at Randwick last Saturday week.

There were 32 nominations taken for the $100,000 Country Classic (2000m) at the Rosehill meeting.

Murwillumbah trainer Matt Dunn has five entered for the race run along the same lines as the Highway races for country-trained horses.
