Maryore is now with emerging Canberra trainer Joe Ible and was set to race at Flemington on Melbourne Cup day but had a minor set-back.

The 6yo mare settled back in Thursday’s Randwick Open trial with race-ride Tim Clark up and hit the line stylishly to place.

“She had a few weeks off and needed the trial to bring her to peak fitness,” Ible said.

“She did every thing we asked of her. One of her attributes is her tenacity and whether it’s in her races, or trials, she gives her all.

“The trick on Tuesday was to make sure she didn’t over-exert herself.”

Ible says Maryore will likely race in a Benchmark at Rosehill on 2 December and have one run after before being spelled for an autumn campaign.

Ible trialled his Pins mare Bella Amante at Canberra on Sunday and she is set to race first-up in the Highway Handicap also on 2 December.

Bella Amante placed and won her first two starts and Ible says “… she’s a lovely horse with a bright future and is well-up to Highway standard.”
