Cyclist dead after east Sydney crash

Tuesday, 14 November 2017:

A cyclist has died after his bike collided with a car in Sydney's east.

Emergency services were called to New South Head Road in the affluent suburb of Double Bay about 6.30pm Monday and found the man dead at the scene.

The death is the fifth cyclist fatality on NSW Roads in 2017, according to Transport NSW.

A 49-year-old man from Point Piper, who was driving the car, was taken to hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
