Even though the Broncos possess a solid record against the other clubs in the NRL, they are to beat daunting hoodoo facing Melbourne to qualify for the big game.
With six premiership trophies to their credit the Broncos are widely seen as the glamour club of the completion, but head to head Melbourne are in front in their long-standing rivalry.
In 42 meetings Storm has won at 28 occasions including 12 of their past 14 encounters.
Broncos’ 31 percent winning record against the Storm is their worst strike rate against any rival currently according to Fox Sports Stats.
A startling fact when viewed in the light that during their 30-year history the broncos have won 468 of their 757 league games.
But according to Storm coach Craig Bellamy, tomorrow’s match will be in a different strata and the club’s past record would be irrelevant in this big game.
The Broncos-Storm rivalry was born out of the controversial grand final win by Brisbane in 2006 where Melbourne Storm complained on several dubious decisions during the game.
