Budzinski as A-League marquee for Melbourne City

Monday, 18 September 2017: Polish midfielder Marcin Budzinski is joining injured striker Bruno Fornaroli as one of the two Melbourne City marquees for the imminent A-League season.

The 27-year-old joins on a two-year marquee deal from Cracovia, thanks to Melbourne City’s policy of signing no-name marquee players to their lineup.
The low-profile signing looks to be unpopular with the club’s fan base with the expectation of a superstar sign up from the cashed-up club.
But according to club heavyweights the sentiment could quickly reverse should Budzinski be able to produce on field.
According to City’s senior executive Brian Marwood the former youth international player will be able to provide Melbourne with experience at a high-level drawing on his involvement with Poland’s international youth teams.
Budzinski has spent all his career in Poland without claiming domestic honors and identifies his motivation as his winning silverware.
According to Budzinski, one of the reasons for him joining Melbourne City is his ambition for success and will be keen to make a start in the first game in three weeks’ time.
According to Coach Warren Joyce, Budzinski is a capable and imaginative player in the midfield who could contribute to goal scoring.
