Invincible Influence Grows In Australia

Thursday, 31 August 2017: Brilliant record-breaking European stallion Invincible Spirit is beginning to cast quite an influence over Australian breeding through his sire sons.

Standing at the Irish National Stud, Invincible Spirit has become one of the most successful sources of precocious gallopers seen in Europe in modern times.
The son of Green Desert was himself a shuttle sire to Australia for four seasons from 2003 to 2006 when he stood at Chatswood Stud in Victoria.
He has since gone on to regularly produce 30 or more juvenile winners per crop including a world record 42 in one year. He has led Europe in the all age statistics by wins and winners and been near the top by earnings.

The 2017 Weatherbys Stallion Book lauds Invincible Spirit as a “prepotent global sire of sires” with 15 sons at stud.
He is the sire of 15 G1 winners, 175 stakes winners and grandsire of seven individual G1 winners. His latest career statistics show Invincible Spirit to be the sire of 918 winners of 2706 races for earnings in excess of $90 million.
Invincible Spirit’s male progeny sired in Ireland and now at stud include classic winning miler Kingman, noted 2YO star Shalaa, French Derby winner Lawman, July Cup winner Mayson, classic performer Born To Sea, Breeders Cup Juvenile winner Vale Of York, G1 winner Territories and Group winners Ajaya, Swiss Spirit and Cable Bay.
During his time in Australia Invincible Spirit sired I Am Invincible, the stallion who is now one of the hottest stud properties in Australia with his own outstanding sons Brazen Beau and Super One now at stud.
I Am Invincible’s success as a sire of noted G1 winners has led to a demand for more sons of Invincible Spirit to stand at stud in Australia to the extent he has six of his progeny on rosters this spring including four newcomers.
The successful Zebedee will return from Ireland for his third successive season at Cornerstone Stud in South Australia while his newcomers are the shuttlers Ajaya (Chatswood Stud), Cable Bay (Woodside Park), Shalaa (Arrowfield Stud) and Territories (Darley Kelvinside).
