Pearson wins Diamond League hurdles

Sally Pearson has continued her hot athletics form, winning the women's 100m hurdles at the Diamond League final in Zurich.

Pearson edged out American Sharika Nelvis via a photo finish after both clocked a time of 12.55 seconds, to end her season by winning the Diamond Trophy.

The win for Pearson comes after she claimed her second world title in the event in London earlier in August.

It was also a successful meet in Zurich on Thursday for Australian javelin thrower Kelsey-Lee Roberts who finished second after throwing 64.53m.

Kurtis Marschall finished fourth in the men's pole vault and Fabrice Lapierre was fifth in the men's long jump.

In other events in Zurich, Mo Farah won the men's 5000m to bring his track career to a close.

Botswana's Isaac Makwala won the men's 400m event and Caster Semenya won a second successive women's 800m Diamond Trophy.
